I have bad wrists and my right hand usually goes numb while using my mouse. With this it doesn't happen. It's the perfect firmness (for me at least) for using my computer for long periods (AKA World of Warcraft). There is a very feint unpleasant odor but I don't even notice it unless I'm actually holding right against my nose. The only con that i see is mine came with a small minor defect, there is a small pocket of air bubbles and a lump that shouldn't be there but it does not effect the comfort of the product.Customer Review: Very comfortable

This wrist rest is very comfortable. It's not too soft and not too hard. It has a small indentation for your wrist to rest. It doesn't take much space on the desk. Since this is new to me, it will take some getting used to but I think it's much better than leaning my wrist on the edge of the desk and cutting off my circulation. I had seen this item elsewhere and did a search on amazon because I have always been happy with my purchases. This is no different. It is exactly what I expected and needed. It works perfectly and the pressure on my wrist from constant use of my mouse is almost completely gone and getting better daily. The product arrived earlier than promised. This is a must have if you have wrist problems. I was always on the computer almost all day and my doctor said I might develop wrist problems. I tried a bunch of different wrist rests but they were all too squishy and didn't help. Then I tried this one and my wrist has been getting better!! this gel cushion has made all the difference in the world to my wrist and forearm, it was becoming quite painful with my laptop to be able to do other things .
my wrist and forearm would tighten up so much as to hardly be able to hold the phone or open a package . the pain was excruciating . and now it no longer is a problem.
