Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Fellowes Gel Flex Transparent Mini Wrist Rest (Blue Crystal)Customer Review: Saved my wrist. Summary: 5 Stars
I did a lot of digital "painting" with my mouse (before I could afford a tablet) and was destroying my wrist in the process. In the attempt to save myself some long-term pain, I invested in the $10 gel wrist protector and have not been disappointed. It isn't a cure all but is extremely, extremely benefical. I use the computer 10+ hours every day and would be in agony if I didn't use the wrist pad. It should come standard with a computer. I didn't encounter any smell with my purchase. Even putting my nose to it and sniffing, I can't smell anything. So if there was a smell originally, it's completely gone away now. (I've had it over a year though.) I definitely recommend anyone who is having pain in their wrist to try this product, and to consider investing in a Wacom or similar tablet, as it's a little less strenuous on the wrist.
Customer Review: Durable -- and it really saves my wrist Summary: 5 Stars
I've owned the Fellowes Gel Flex Wrist Rest for three years now, and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. Because I spend hours in front of a computer, my whole arm, from wrist to shoulder, can ache without the proper support. Once I bought this gel pad, the wrist support alleviated the pain from my entire arm, probably because it immediately became more comfortable to rest my wrist. The feel is firm, with some give, and it curves wider near the top to accommodate the heel of the hand.
Initially, I feared that the silicon exterior would burst, making a mess; however, I've dropped the pad more times than I can count, and nothing has happened. I highly recommend this wrist rest for anyone who spends more than an hour a day at the computer. While it cannot reverse carpal tunnel damage, it can prevent it.
Customer Review: Wrist Saver! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product! I had begun to notice that my wrist was really beginning to bother me when I was at my computer, so I decided that I had to get something. This was the first thing I saw that looked like it was going to truly work. It was gel, so it wasn't going to sink down, like the bean bag styled ones would, and yet it would sill have some give and be comfortable. I was concerned that because it didn't have a soft cover that it was going to make my wrist sweat, but I've been using it for a couple of weeks (in the summer) and it hasn't been a problem. Another great thing about this is if it gets dirty or spilled on, it can easily be washed off. This is a great, well made product that holds your wrist in just the right position. I just wish I had gotten it sooner.
Customer Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
I have had ligament reconstructive surgery after having my hands crushed by rock.Although I'm better now this happened recently so getting back into using a computer has been a struggle.Where i could only use my computer for 30min at a time without stopping because of pain..This makes it so i can use the mouse consistently. It feels Sooo comfortable under my wrist that i often find myself wresting my hand on it even when not using my computer!!!Feels like the stuff EVAC wraps body parts with for trauma. Completely comfortable. Never looses is shape but has the right amount of "give". I CANNOT live without 1 from now on.Its a must have item.IT WILL WORK in saving you pain.I suggest you have the lower part of the wrist rest facing you.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
Customer Review: I wish I had a pair of shoes this comfortable! Summary: 5 Stars
Just received my wrist gel pad today and what a difference! No more soreness from my wrist resting on the sharp edge of the keyboard tray. At first, the gel is a bit too firm but as your body heat warms it, it softens like a comfortable glove for your wrist to rest upon. I use it with a wireless optical mouse and it's perfect for that. I can move it around as need be without the location being constrained by an attached mouse pad or the pot holder I've been using to ease the pain in my wrist.
Earlier today I found myself wondering and wishing if there were any of these gel pads made for shoes, it is that comfortable!
