Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Fellowes CD Sleeves 100 CD Capacity Clear Vinyl Double Sided (50-Pack)Customer Review: Great solution for minimizing storage Summary: 4 Stars
I've been wanting to cut down on my storage space for CD and DVD storage for quite some time, but didn't want to go to binders or expensive disc systems. I have 3 beautiful CD cabinets with wicker front drawers for CD storage, and they are full. I have another cabinet for DVD's, which is not only full, but ugly. With these sleeves, I can store all my CDs and DVDs in my lovely CD cabinets, which stand next to each other, making a nice table top for other items. And I have room left over.
No, the CD booklets do not fit in the sleeves, unless you cut them down, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I took the insert from the back of the jewel case, cut off the title spine, and inserted that into the title space on the sleeve. It's the same size as the title tabs included with the sleeves, but looks much nicer than my hand written tabs. I cut off the opposite perforated tab from the insert, then folded the remaining piece to put in the sleeve. I'll keep the booklets in a separate drawer in my now roomy CD cabinet. For my DVDs, I removed the insert from the case and again cut off the title spine and inserted that into the title space in the sleeve, trimming the ends to fit. Now I have 2 pieces left, which I can easily store in a drawer if I decide to keep them. Some DVDs also have an insert inside the case, which can be folded or cut down and inserted into the sleeve. I'm making some cardstock alphabetical dividers to further organize my cabinets.
All in all, I like this product. It meets my storage needs, and it seems like a durable product.

Customer Review: A double sleeve a day will keep the CD doctor away Summary: 4 Stars

Double-Sided CD Sleeves, Pack of 50 (FEL90659)
Those that have purchased this product or any other brand and experienced something odiferous have made valid points. In order to circumvent this situation if you are purchasing any of the CD/DVD sleeves in a store they usually will have a date the item was placed in inventory with the price.
If you are purchasing from an on-line vendor please don't hesitate to send them an email and see if they will be honest enough to let you know when the last shipment was received. I have used paper sleeves a plethora of times and have been able to get packages that have not been in storage long.
The sleeves when new are very good and often sold at a terrific discount. You will want to make sure at all times the CD's/DVD's are protected from light and dust. Please keep in mind that since these are double-sided if you have CD's or DVD's in both slots it can be a tight squeeze at times to remove either of them. Be gentle and take your time and it will be fine. You don't want to defeat the idea of protection by having your hand prints all over the laser side.
The window style is perfect for easy viewing of the inside contents without having to remove the CD/DVD.
Enjoy the music and be well,

Customer Review: Organize Those CD's! Summary: 4 Stars
I literally have 100's of CD's lying around the house and recently took it upon myself to organize (most of) them ;) I considered those CD storage books/wallets but didn't like the fact that they make alphabetical sorting a nightmare (i.e. making room for one CD on a certain page requires moving 10 pages worth of CD's!). That's where these CD sleeves come in - put your CD"s in these sleeves, then store 'em in a box and access them like old-fashioned library cards. Fellowes even sells a nice 100-disk-capacity stackable box that comes with 25 of these sleeves. These sleeves are double-sided. Each can hold 2 CD's or 1 CD plus a booklet. The width of each sleeve is slightly wider than a std CD, and at the top is a 3/4" tab/flap - very handy for writing/ataching a label and for pulling the sleeve out of a box. The construction appears to be good - not thin, cheap plastic that might easily tear or rip. My only complaint is with the design of the finger-hole used to extract the CD from the sleeve - its in the shape of a keyhole rather than an open "U". This makes it a little difficult to pull out CD's when there are two in the sleeve (you can solve this with a pair of scissors if it bothers you). Overall, these sleeves provide a high-density storage solution at a reasonable cost, especially when you purchase the higher-count package.
Customer Review: + 1/2 star: this does the job well Summary: 4 Stars
These double-sided CD/DVD storage sleeves by Fellowes are wonderful! They can hold a LOT of CDs and/or DVDs in a very small amount of space and they are an immeasurable help when you want to keep them organized or in just one small space instead of having them lying around all over the house (as I had at one point)! The see-through sleeve is made of vinyl and it just plain feels as if it will last a long time.
The sleeve does indeed have a little extra space for a title; and I like that. One reviewer notes that this extra space can become a minor problem--if the Ideastream or any other similarly sized CD/DVD sleeve holder box is full, you just may have to push the title space back to make the CD/DVD sleeves fit inside the box. I got around this by using a slightly larger box that I found in a local store.
There's very little I can say that's negative about these sleeves. They should have cut the finger-hole opening into a deeper "U" shape instead of the smaller keyhole shape but that's about it.
I recommend this product for anyone who wants to organize CDs and DVDs.
Customer Review: Note these actual dimensions Summary: 4 Stars
I like these sleeves and I ordered them along with the Ideastream CD storage boxes. But the actual dimensions of the sleeves are 5.75"H X 5"W (including the title tab at the top). The Ideastream boxes are 5"H with the lid. This means that if the CD box is full, the titles have to be folded back in order for the lid to fit securely. Other than that minor nuisance, the system works well and saves lots of space.
