Much quieter than previous shredder. Seems well built and appears it will last a long time, especially in a home office setting. Like the large bin for shredded paper and that the bin pulls out to empty easily without removing the shredder mechanism of the unit. Product delivers on all its specifications. I was especially surprised by how quiet the device is while it is shredding. The unit has plenty of capacity and has a excellent motor (doesn't seem to slow down when shredding ten documents at time). I have done in several shredders over the years. The Fellowes shredder has been able to keep up with my demands. The safety features are important when my granddaughters are visiting. It works great and hasn't jammed yet. We didn't get the casters all the way inserted into the bottom (you need to make sure you get them all the way in) and it tipped over and broke the basket. This is the best shredder I've ever had. Makes my home office more efficient and it will pay for itself in just a matter of months with the time I save in shredding. Easy to see shred level through side window and easy to operate. Can't ask for anything better.
