Great price, high quality and extra functionality.
I am quite impressed with this piece of equipment. As a standard tone & probe, it works just as it should.
However, what sets this kit apart are the additional continuity and polarity check functions. They save time and wear and tear on my DMM.
I also appreciate the multi-function alligator clips.
As always Amazon's free shipping and quick turn-around just added to the experience.

I've used several network cabling sniffers over the years. The Fluke unit is by far more sensetive and capable than others I've used. It is fast and easy to use. Uses standard batteries - no need to look for special hearing aid type batteries, simple 9 Volt batteries. having used others in the past, this one struck me with its sensitivity, able to locate wires in wall cavities, seperate leads from with in pairs easily.Customer Review: Beats the outdate Progressive Toner kit.

Im a Cable technician for a communications company. Ive been using the Progressive toner kit for years. I broke the wand and desided to change it up.. Not only is this kit far louder and sensitive, its has many features which the other brand doesnt.. Finally, it was $20 cheaper as well.
Fluke is the leader in Electronic test equiptment. I should have threw my Progressive kit into the trash long ago!

I am a telecommunication professional, and although most prefer the Progressive toners and probes I decided to go with Fluke. It didn't disappoint me at all. As a matter of fact it is better than Progressive in at least two counts: distance and accuracy. The smart tone allows me to identify the pair with certainty. I bought it and I used it since the first day. It sound a loud when I found a wire.
You can program this tool to send a continus sound or a intermiten sound.
You can trace wire on non-active networks
It come with one RJ11 connector and two alligator clip.
You need two 9v batteries.
I think is a great tool, great price and works perfect.
