Customer Review: Works great for Security System wiring

This Tone and Probe kit work great for security system wiring and other house low voltage wiring. I prewired the house I was building and home run all the wires back to the utility room. Now that I'm actually installing the switches I needed a way to identify the wires.
It works great, I probable have 50 wires and I can easily tone out the one I need. The only trick I ran into is that on shielded wire you need to use the shield as one of the conductors for the toner, if you don't then the shielding does it's trick and makes it hard to tone out.
Overall another great Fluke product, was a little disappointed that it was actually a little cheaper at Home Depot.
Description of Fluke PRO3000 Tone and Probe Kit
Use the SmartTone capability of the Pro3000 Analog Tone Generator to identify the right pair. When touching the wires together and momentarily shorting the far end of a cable pair, the SmartTone technology will change the cadence of the tone generated.
