Customer Review: Excellent Product, but be prepared for install

The battery kit comes with a tiny Torx driver and instructions, and seems to be of excellent quality (recharging right now). My problems were related to my Palm and not to the kit. Be prepared for the following:
1) If your Palm has seen hard use, don't be surprised if the plastic where the screws attach the case together is broken. One of the four screw bosses on my unit was cracked in several places and pieces fell out when I opened the case. A little cement for plastic models and some patience (use a toothpick to apply the glue) got it back together.
2) The battery in my Palm was attached with very strong double sided tape instead of a small amount of glue. I had to make small "L" shaped tools from a paper clip to gently work it out without damaging the circuit board (the circuit board on mine could not be moved out of the way until the battery was loose).
3) The foam spacer on my old battery had degraded and could not be reused. I cut a small rectangle from a piece of weatherstripping and it worked fine.
4) My Palm's display connector cable was too short to allow it to lay flat while working on loosening the battery as shown in the instructions, so I had to lean it against the side of a box (in a vertical orientation) while loosening the battery.
Again, I have no complaints about the kit, and if your Palm is in better shape than mine, installation should go quickly. Even with the problems I encountered, it took only about an hour from start to finish.
