I live in an apartment building that has metal cross-beams - and they interfere with the radio signal. I have borrowed radio receivers from friends, but could only hear two AM radio stations, and nothing in the FM... all was just static.
Then I bought this wonderful Grundig, and the reception - AM MW and FM - is crystal clear. The thing is also pleasant to look at, and it is solidly built. I don't do SW, however, so I can't comment on that.
Highly recommend!

I purchased the Grundig solely because I like to listen to low wattage non-profit FM radio stations. The Grundig has a more sensitive than normal antennae that can pick my station and other obscure one's with ease in a concrete and steel office building.
It is obviously of high quality and functional for both indoors and out.

With the frequency of hurricanes and power outages in my area, I have a collection of portable radios. I prefer those with 4 "D" cells as they are big and chunky enough to last more than a year or two. This Grundig has the best sound, excellent battery life, and good looks. The Grundig S350 has great sound quality. It offers many features like bass/treble, narrow and wide band width and gain control, just to name a few.
I find its compact design and superior sound not to mention the great reception is well worth the price. Amazon.com offered great shipping at a great price.

The grundig 350 is a very impressive radio. Reception is great on all frequencies, and really great on shortwave with just a basic straight wire antenna of aboubt 65 ft.
I would recommend this radio highly to anyone who enjoy's excellent radio reception with ease of use.
