I bought this radio as well as the Kaito Solarcraknk KA500. The Eton gives me 32 minutes of play time for 3 minutes of cranking. The Kaito KA500 produces only 4 minutes of play time for 3 minutes of hand cranking. The Microlink FR 150 is smaller than a dollar bill, making it great for a backpack or glovebox. This is truly an emergency/survival radio. If sound quality is really important to you, you will be disappointed. The sound quality and reception are fine for emergency purposes, but not for daily use.Customer Review: A Nice Surprise

I bought this for my grandmother because she said she really wanted to put an earthquake kit together being that we all live in California.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality. It looks kind of chintzy in the picture but it's really solid and has a nice feel to it.
Seems to work great and grandma can handle it easily. I am going to buy one for everyone in the family for Christmas since it is also so affordable.

I got this for my disaster/hurricane kit primarily because it is both compact and fully functional. The radio was working great when I tried it out. The flashlight's not overly bright, but it would be useful if you ran out of batteries. Most useful is the recharging crank. ONE NOTE-- YOU MUST FILL OUT THE WARRANTY TO GET A CONNECTOR FOR YOUR CELLPHONE.
I liked mine so much that I gave a few away as gifts for Christmas.

Bought the radio right before Hurricane Ike ... Sure glad I had it when we were out of electricity for a few days and things got a little crazy. I would recommend buying a PC USB to radio power connector to charge up the battery ... to get a lot of radio play you will have to crank for quite a while to charge up the battery. I was surprised at the quality of this product. While I was expecting a good product, I was not expecting all of the bells and whistles to be so outstanding. I bought this item for my husband who usually is hard to impress. He was like a kid with a new toy. Each time he would try a different feature he could come show me how it worked.
