Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet)

Customer Review: Works for me
Summary: 5 Stars

OK, so I wanted to do a little test and see if these cables would really work as good as Monster or Rocket Fish or any of that other expensive crap. I currently had a monster cable (that I got for free). Then I went surfing Amazon and was reminded how I always wanted to see if those cheap cables I saw online worked just as well.

Well I found this puppy for $[...] At that price I was willing to take the risk for my test - if it did not work, who cares, it was only a buck seventy-five.

I made the order and got my cable about a week later. I hooked it up to my PS3, and popped in a Blu-Ray movie Rambo. It looked just as good as when I had the monster cable hooked up to the PS3.

Final thoughts - do not waste your money at Best buy, Circuit city or any other chain store where they rip you off for HDMI cables. I guess it works the same way as medicine/pills prices, those things cost pennies to make yet get marked up thousands of percent - which is why the Pharmaceutical companies make so much profit.

One thing I will mention is that my TV goes up to 1080i. So if you have a 1080p TV, then I am not sure if it will work for that. Like I said, both work the same (up to 1080i), but this one is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Customer Review: THE HDMI CABLE THAT YOU NEED
Summary: 5 Stars

I have to admit. I'm truly impressed at this purchase. Being someone who has been recently exposed to the technologies of TV's (Lcd's, LcOs, & Plasma) I have been wasting ALOT OF MONEY.

I went out to best buy about a year ago when I purchased my Sony 52XBR-5, and bought along side it, a Monster 1000 Series HDMI cable.
That was a MISTAKE. The sales rep at BB, told me this cable was "future proof" and since my tv was "top of the line" this cable was to compliment the picture it outputs to the maximum.

Truth be told most of the HDMI cable's do the SAME EXACT THING. Carry HD Audio and Video through one cable. Also if you want "lossless" audio, which can carry Dolby True HD 5.1 Surround Sound and DTS-HD Master Audio, than all you need is an HDMI cable that is of the spec 1.3a, and this HDMI cable is just that.

I have beaming 5.1 sound surround HD, and my new 58" Panasonic Plasma looks amazing. And guess what? The picture didn't change with this HDMI, or the monster (Compared on my 1080p 58" Panasonic Plasma).

So use some logic and take my advised as a violated shopper. Don't pay too much for an HDMI CABLE!

Customer Review: execellent price and quality
Summary: 5 Stars

Here my story. I have two high def. tv's.One is a 32inch Sharp gaming T V.and a L.g. 37 inch.On both sets i have two HDMI hookups.I bought four HDMI cables the best they had to offer at a price of over Three Hundred dollars.I hooked them up and used them for about five months. One day i was just Computer Surfing and came across these cables and i wanted a spare set but didn't want to pay the big price. At Ten Dollars for the cables, that included shipping how could i go wrong. Now,i have two Sons and two Grandsons and a wife and all of them use both sets and play the games that include Play Station three and X box 360.without anyone knowing i switched one from each TV.to the cheaper set and waited for a reaction.Believe me when i say if there was any quality change they have let me know right away. After a couple days i put the other set on and waited. Then i asked one of my sons if the picture had changed on the X box 360.To my amazement he said the picture looked liked i had done something to make it look clearer.I can't say you'll have the same good fortune as i had all i can say is give these cables a try.At ten dollars you can't go wrong. Buy the way i still haven't told them what i did.Does anyone want to by some high priced cables?

Customer Review: Very very inexpensive but excellent quality
Summary: 5 Stars

I threw up my hands at Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Circuit City with ridiculous prices on cabling. They are forced to be competitive on advertised TV's, so they make it up on cables, TV stands, and the like.

I bought 2 of these cables, they arrived quickly, looked to be made well, and work just fine. One I run from the DVD to Receiver, the other from the Receiver to the HD TV. Now remember, these deliver audio also, but to the TV. To get high-quality sound out of my DVD into my Receiver's speaker system and be able to control the volume, I had to use what is called an optical coaxial cable from the DVD to an input on the Receiver. That cable is costly at the big box stores, also, so look elsewhere.

My background is an electronic engineer so I know most of the sales staff babbling done at these big stores about cables is untrue and technical nonsense. You will be unable to hear any difference, and if you think you do, it is the suggestion they plant in your head. If you stop and think about the wiring you see in your house, in your auto, and the wiring seen leading to telephones, they work just fine without gold plating, monster-sizes, and expensive bubble-wrapped graphics around wiring.

Customer Review: Don't EVER Pay More Than $10 For An HDMI Cable!
Summary: 5 Stars

Don't let the Monster Cables, Best Buys and Game Stops of the world try to fool you into thinking an HDMI cable needs to cost $65. That is an absolute SCAM.

A cable is a cable is a cable, and when it comes to digital transfers it either works or it doesn't. This cable WORKS. I use it between a PlayStation 3 and a 40" LCD TV. The connection feels solid, audio/video sound and look completely fine, and the cable even seems reasonably durable (not that you need to be running around and doing Van Halen jumps with your TV or anything).

The performance difference between this $2 cable and the $100 vacuum-sealed mercury-gold quintuple-twisted zircon-encrusted foot-polished ones you'll find at the store is so small you'd have to be in some kind of lab to see the difference. Either that, or you have to be a gullible idiot. It's your call, whatever.

Here's a much better way to spend $65. 1: Buy this cable ($5 total). 2: Buy Planet Earth: The Complete BBC Series [Blu-ray] ($50) 3: Pick up a dimebag from the local riff-raff ($10) 4: Have a kickass weekend in your hi-definition party lair.
