Received these cables in the mail yesterday. I was VERY excited to received these because just that morning my TV began flickering (no video/audio on HD channels). I figured it was just the HDMI cable, simple right? Well that was actually a handshake issue with comcast, not HDMI cable related, but anyways.
I order 2 cables for a blu-ray player we expect to have for Christmas. I have purchased a Vizio cable in the past which works well with my 42LD520. The Vizio cable cost $30 at Walmart. Two of these cables cost $5 combined, free shipping (w/ other items). First thing I noticed right away is how these cables were identical to the Vizio cable I had... IDENTICAL in construction. Both gold plated. I plugged in the cable and it works beautifully.
I know many people will wonder whether this cable is high speed and if it will produce true 1080p picture. The answer is yes. The cords I received are GT Max branded 1.3v cables. High Speed, 1080p cables.
I could not rate the durability or reliability, as I've only used the cable for a day. But I'm sure they are fine, the appear to be just as durable as the Vizio cable I have and they actually fit a little better in my LG set. These cables are a steal. I'm very curious to know how much these bad boys are marked up in the box stores if these guys can sell them for $2.50 a piece.
Shipping was quick, order on a Sunday, arrived on a Thursday, coast to coast.
Overall, this will prove to be a smart purchase.

Within the last few weeks I finally decided to jump from a CRT and Analog cables (Red, white, yellow) to a LCD with HDMI. I knew what the LCD was however was sorely lacking in knowledge when it came to cables and high def. After I had bought the TV and the player (which told me on the box not to forget the HDMI cables!) I had to search for the proper connections. Well, the only offerings in the store were HDMI cables ranging from 40-120 dollars. What did I know? I bought the 40 dollar ones (I know I am cheap) and was happy with them, until I found these by chance on amazon.
When I first looked at the page advertising these inexpensive cables for sale, I thought to myself: "Of course they're cheap, because they will fall apart within a week". However, when reading the reviews I started to get curious. How could I go wrong at 3 dollars shipped!
So I tried them out, have them connected, as I write this, to a samsung 37" 1080p LCD and get the same quality (with no interference) as the 40 dollar cables. The shipping was 3 days and I could not have been more satisfied. You do not need gold plated, platinum plated, or heavy duty cables because the above reviewers are right: "All you need is that digital signal". Moreover, they are plain (no logos or colors) but they are no of shoddy construction (I wiggled them around and unplugged and plugged them numerous times). What can I say? It is a quality product that anyone can afford.

I needed one HDMI cable but decided to get two, figuring I would eventually need another. Out of curiosity, I ordered each from different sellers: ClearAV and Eforcity. They both shipped out the cable quickly (though I got it a day earlier with ClearAV). But the cables were markedly different. The one from ClearAV had thick shielding and a lot of molding around the plugs. It was sturdier than I was expecting. The one from Eforcity was a lot thinner. I didn't think this would matter until I tried hooking up my HDMI component, a Yamaha DVD player, to my TV, a Bravia 40" S series. The one from Eforcity would not work after repeated attempts (connecting, disconnecting, checking pins, changing sequence of power cycles, etc.). The one from ClearAV worked without a hitch. I doubt the problem is directly related to the heavier shielding, but it does indicate a generally better constructed cable. I won't bother returning the cable from Eforcity because the majority of the cost is in the shipping, and they don't refund on shipping, nor do they pay for replacement shipping (convenient, huh?). Overall, I'm a happy camper. I still spent way less than the $60 my local big box retailer wanted. Just be mindful of who you are ordering from. You will get a 2 meter HDMI cable, but the actual product will vary based on the seller. Obviously my vote goes with ClearAV. The construction quality was far better than I expected, and most importantly it works great.Customer Review: Best Quality for low Quantity...of money

I bought this HDMI cable for my xbox 360 expecting better quality and a sharper image than my component cables. The image was sharper in 1080i but it looked worse. It was the same sense as taking an image and repeatedly applying a sharpen filter to it in photoshop, eventually the image degrades due to loss of value because it tries to show what isn't there. I turned it back to Optimal Resolution (780p) and it made the image the best it can be. Better and sharper than Component at 780p and 1080i but not to sharp like HDMI in 1080i.
Now at the current price of little more than a dollar this cable is a bargain. 2 Meters/~6.5 Ft long. It is gold plated even though that doesn't make a difference. Now a cable is just a cable just as long as it works, if you were to spend $50 or even $100+ for an HDMI cable you would still get the same quality as this cable.
For anyone with an xbox 360 that uses an optical sound cable that plugs into the back of your A/V you will not be able to plug the HDMI cable in when the A/V cable is plugged in because the A/V cable partially covers the HDMI port in back. Microsoft gives you a slimmer A/V cable with the HDMI cable for $50 but if you want to save money you can buy this cable for a dollar and just pop the fat casing off your current A/V cable and stick it to the man by plugging your own HDMI cable in with your A/V cable with Optical cable and save $49

This is the first review that I've written here. I've spent thousands on products from this site on all kinds of things. This is the best value that I've come across.
At first I was leary about buying it because if it's to good to be true than it usually is ... right? Not in this case. You get exactly as advertised. The cable even comes with caps for the plugs so that you don't get dust in them and transfer it to your componant.
I won't say how, but I do know for a fact that Monster Cables are a rip off for basic home use. They are a high quality product for professional usage. Think of it like dropping a big block V8 engine in Toyota Prius. You know that you'll never use more than an 1/8 of the engines capacity. When I visit my local electronics store and see the average Joe grabbing the $100-$200 Monster Cables and put them in his cart along side the Panasonic All-In-One Theatre Sound System I shake my head and try to tell them the technicalities of the mistake their about to make.
Which is bacically this- You need to transport an ALL DIGITAL information thread from one place to another. It will get there or won't. You won't get a "weak" signal or "strong" signal. This isn't the 80's. The concepts don't even apply here.
Buy the cable plug it in. If you get the sound or picture than it's working. Plain and simple. If you have distortion or bad peaks than it's something else.
