Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Energizer ERP512GRN NiMH Cordless Phone BatteryCustomer Review: Make Phone Like New Summary: 5 Stars
I have older Uniden phones which I got at Costco many years ago and one day I noticed that they wouldn't hold a charge for more than a few hours off the charger so I got new replacement batteries and the phones are like new. For about $30 I have great phones and it would have cost at least double that for new ones plus replacing batteries is probably much better for the environment. We live in a throw-away society and to the extent that I can change it I will. These batteries fit perfectly. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Energizer Batteries for Home Phone Summary: 5 Stars
The leads on this battery are longer than the original.
The good news? They had plenty of lead to allow me to install them easily.
The bad news? They had longer leads and needed to be routed to keep from catching them in the cover or bunching up under the battery and prohibiting the installation of the cover.
Not a huge problem for a good quality battery. I've bought the "generics" before and they don't hold up for long. These have been champs from the day they were installed.
Customer Review: Time will tell Summary: 5 Stars
I bought three of these battery packs to replace the originals in our Uniden phones. I was happy to pay a tiny bit more for name brand batteries over the no-namo brands I kept running into. I made sure that each battery was allowed at least 24 uninterrupted hours to charge before use, and so far they are doing great. Each handset can stay off the charger for several days between charges now, depending on active use. But only time will tell about the overall life of the batteries.
Customer Review: Inexpensive replacement for phone Summary: 5 Stars
We have 6 Uninden PowerMax 5.8GHz cordless phones throughout our house. Some get used more often than others, and as a result the original batteries stopped holding a charge for very long -- this happened after about 3.75 years. Looking online, these batteries were only $11. Compared to replacing the entire phone (x3), this is close to a savings of $15-$20 (x3). Also, less waste. New batteries fit perfect, hold a great charge (like the originals), and work perfectly.
Customer Review: Phones are better than new. Summary: 5 Stars
The battery life is better with these batteries than the original ones. If the originals lasted nearly 2 years, these surely will. Still cheaper than buying (and learning) new phones.
I have read a lot of grousing about battery life in these reviews and quite frankly poor battery life is the fault of the user. Period.
Shut up and buy new ones every few years or go back to corded phones!
