I want to preface this by saying that I didn't buy this specific item from Amazon. I bought one four pack of these from Target at a much higher price. I was so impressed with them that I wanted to find them for cheaper so that is why I'm here.
I've tried both Alkaline and Rechargeable NiMH batteries in my handheld GPS unit and both worked but just didn't seem to last very long. I didn't like leaving my GPS on to keep tracks because the battery would be dead after a day.
I did the Presidential Traverse in New Hampshire this past weekend and wanted Lithium because I knew it performed better in cold temperatures (Alkaline batteries are only 10% effective at 0 degrees F). However what I didn't expect is how LONG these lasted, even after being in sub-freezing temps. I had my GPS running constantly for 10 hours each day for 2 days and it still shows 3 out of 3 bars for battery life. It's awesome being able to keep tracks of where we are going without having to worry about battery life.
I thought these were way too expensive at first but I'm starting to see that they're actually a bargain.
