I used this adapter in Israel, and it worked great in all the plugs I encountered including some at an older motel. When inserted, it tilts some but it stayed in the plugs whereas the adapter my roommate had tended to fall out of the plugs. My roommate ended up borrowing it because it allows you to plug in a three-pronged plug whereas hers would only take a two-prong plug. Just be careful that your devices are rated to allow 240 volts because this is an ADAPTER and not a power converter so if you use it for a device that can't take 240 volts, you will overload the device and "fry" it.Customer Review: A good product from Amazon that I first purchased

For the first time I ordered an item through Amazon which is Universal Adapter. The product was reached the expected delivered date. The product was excellent. Initially I was surfing over other websites but I couldn't find the Universal Adapter that matches my requirement. I come across this product in Amazon and it was excellent which exceeds my expectation. I ordered immediately and it was delivered in 4 days. The product is also working fine. It as locking facility too.. Thanks a lot to Amazon and the seller of this product. I would rate 5 out of 5.

It worked in Rome, which is what I bought it for. Seems solid and made the trip just fine. What more can I say? If it works it works and it works so there you go. Keep in mind this does not work as a converter. It's only an adapter. Your electronics have to be rated for the 200~V range. Laptops and similar class electronics should have a 200~V compatibility. Keep in mind that handheld systems DO NOT work without a converter. They only work in the range for the region they were bought in. Check your power adapters to see if your device works for the voltage used at your destination.Customer Review: The American plug works well...

Used to live overseas, and this has been great for adapting some of my electronics to American plugs. I imagine if I go overseas again, this will be great for adapting my American stuff. It is a little bulky... but having the wide range of usage is good.
Some of the tags call this a 'converter' I do not think it is, as converters tend to change the voltage, this appears just to be an adapter, so make sure your electronics have variable voltage.
Also, the surge protector part is great - never know when you'll run into shady electric home or abroad.

We took this adapter with us to Europe this summer. We went to Barcelona, Paris, Turkey, and the London. The adapter worked great in all countries especially considering that in Europe the electricity sockets are about an inch inside the wall (I suppose to protect children). The adapter had absolutely no trouble with all my equipment (Laptop, battery chargers [AA and camera]). I would highly recommend this for the traveling person.
Oh, and shipping and handling was good as well. Mine came with a little pouch as well which I used for other things :p
