I got these speakers with a deal on Amazon, so I ended up paying about 2.50 for them, and i expected another cheap set of speakers that I found a great deal on but that weren't necessarily high quality. The shocker was when i opened it and put in the batteries, and it played excellent quality music louder than even the 35 dollar speakers I usually use! The quality of sound does not decrease nearly as much as most speakers as you turn the volume off, and they are all around the best portable speakers I have ever owned (I have at least 4-5 others)!!!Customer Review: These are GREAT!!!!!

We looked at tons of ipod speakers,from these to the $300 dollar ones. For the low price of these plus shipping these little babies are FANTASTIC!!! Order placed received 3 days later! Amazingly fast! If you want $49 ipod speakers or $300 ones, i'm sure you would receive what you pay for. If you just need something to get the job done, for example speakers for the kids Christmas ipods, unless you really need to pump out something really loud these are perfect for one user or for a desk top! I wasn't really expecting much from these little speakers since they were so cheap. I've been shopping for a small set to use at my desk. I can't play music loud becuase of other people around, but these are great for just that purpose. They can play loud if you wanted too, but when played at a reasonable volume the clarity is amazing for size and price. I use a Zune with these and it fits perfect in the holder. The audio cable is a little short but all in all I'm happy with it.Customer Review: Best 10$ you will ever spend.

First of all let me say how very happy I am with this product. This is the most compact and convient product for 10$ I have ever purchased. It was alot smaller than i thought it was gonna be which is perfect for what I wanted to use it for, which was work. The sound is amazing for its size. Its not a boom box or a stereo system but for 10$ it is well worth it. I am more than happy with my purchase and have recommended it to many people already and will continue recommending it.Customer Review: Were you expecting Bose?

So you bought some fold up Ipod speakers for $8. If you complain about the sound, you should probably wear a helmet and have someone make purchases for you.
These little guys actually sound better than I expected...not $100 good, but definitely crisp for 8 bucks. I ended up buying another set for my mom; she's happy with them as well.
TIP: Leave the volume on your Ipod or MP3 player all the way and only adjust the volume on your speakers.
