I bought these recently because I wanted a set of speakers for my iPod. The reviews were good, and the price was right. For $6 I could afford to gamble. Turns out it was a good choice. Clearly, they aren't as amazing quality as some of the $100 plus ones you could buy. But the sounds is great for such a bargain item, and even if it breaks in six months, you could still buy ten replacements cheaper than buying one of the high end sets. Some cheapo speakers you sounds like the music is inside a tin can, and there's no volume. I turned these all the way up and my cat fled the room, so they get plenty loud.
So, if you're a music junkie and you insist on being able to shake the house with your music and feel like you're right at the concert...alright, move on and blow your money on the expensive speakers. If you're a normal person and you just want a compact set of speakers that can be heard over a roomful of people and comes at a great price..BUY THESE!

I bought this from a trusted reseller. "Choice Plus".
The cost was more than the average "Used and new" (5$$+8.65$ shipping)
It was worth it though, they took good care of the product and it came perfectly new.
Some resellers are charging 100$ or more for this.
Cons:None to worry about, the ac adapter and audio jack are fairly short, but enough to connect the ipod.
For convenience, I recommend buying a multi-port extension cord (usually very cheap) for the speaker ac & ipod AC adapters.
Other thoughts:
Disappointed at most reviews, this product is magnificent.
It is moreover based on which reseller you buy from, most free or cheap shipping comes at a high price (a damaged/defective item). Also if the seller gives no response to a simple e-mail, do not buy from them.

This product got some negative reviews that almost kept me from purchasing it. Because of the price, I went ahead and bought it, and I am so glad I did!
The sound is certainly not high fidelity, but surely no one purchasing speakers in this price range would expect that. They are perfectly adequate for listening without having to wear the earphones. I use mine in the bathroom while I'm getting ready and I have no complaints about sound quality for use in a similar circumstance.
There was one review that said the volume was inadequate. That is completely untrue as long as you turn the volume up on the ipod. I set my ipod volume to max and the speakers put out more volume than I want.
Bottom line...if you're looking for a way to listen to your ipod without earphones in a casual setting...this is for you!

Simply put, for under five dollars, you are not going to find a better pair of speakers for your Ipod. Sure, the sound isn't fantastic, but its surprisingly good. If you are an audiophile, look elsewhere. I simply wanted a set of speakers I could attach my Ipod to while working on projects in my garage. The volume is loud enough that I can hear my Ipod over various power and air tools, and I don't have to worry about a earphone cable getting caught in something while I work. At full volume, these speakers have surprisingly little distortion. Best of all, they can be powered by 4 AAA batteries...one less thing that has to be plugged in where there aren't enough electrical outlets to begin with.Customer Review: I like it so much, I bought two more !!

I bought this for camping since I didn't have much room for a full boombox or radio. I have to tell you that even outside on a picnic table, this little gem really throws the sound ! While the bass isn't super, it really does deliver a quality sound for such a compact unit. With shipping I paid less than [...] bucks. And with a box full of AC adapters laying around from previous equipment, it was easy finding the right one for this. I used it all weekend off and on and even without the AC adapter, I still am running on the same set of batteries.
I liked it so much that I bought two more to use when this one bites the dust. For a really cheap product, no complaints here !
