Customer Review: but can it play Crysis...
Summary: 5 Stars

Full enthusiast settings at 1080 with 16xqxaa get about avg 25-30 fps in game ( Core2Quad Q9550@4ghz) . Mins 18-20 fps occasionally. That's not the 60fps I'd like, but it's playable. After all this time I'd rather not have to dial back anything to get the full glory at 60 fps, but whatever I don't play Crysis anymore, it's just a good test of a cards inner reserve. Long and short, although I wish this gpu was just as glorious as it was hyped, it still stands as the best single gpu ever created to date. I'd call it a solid upgrade over a GTX280. In terms of size, ease of installation, and fan noise it's comparable to the 280.

Requires at least 42 12V amps so check you power supply 12V rails.

Also make sure your case has good airflow (with no obstructions in the front or back).

Temps can run high (safely to 105*C), but in a good case the card manages to keep it stable, even with the core overclocked to 800mhz (can go higher). The only time I've seen problems is when overclocking the memory and running Crysis at 1080/16QXAA. With just the GPU overclocked it's no problem. Under that load temps usually get up to 92*C with fan on auto, and it cranks up to about 72% speed, not loud at all. It ran the Crysis benchmark batchfile (below) all night long without a problem and max temps stayed under 100*C. I've also had it crunch Furmark all night at 1080/16xAA.

The anti-aliasing power of this GPU is impressive. There's not much performance hit from 4x to 16QxAA. Even runs 32xMSAA in Kombustor 1080 30 fps.

here is a full suite of Crysis benches:
