Regardless of my CONS, I love this board. Just so you understand.
PROS:
Great layout, mostly.
Lean and clean board. No hardware bloat or uneeded options.
Software install is lean, no bloated apps.
Robust OC tools, high quality parts used in constuction.
CONS:
The layout of the SATA connectors, at least the main block of them, are hard to get to. They are on the "side" instead of "facing" out.
Secondary JMircon SATA controller will not support DVD/Bluray drives in AHCI mode, only IDE. The INTEL SATA can do both.
Completely shuts down to do a reset. It does turn back on but this makes the reset time longer.
POST takes longer than other boards and often does not initialize the USB keyboard in time to hit DEL for BIOS setup!

EVGA's quality is exceptional, this board definitely exemplifies that. With great tools for the overclocking enthusiast, or rock-solid stability for the power user, it's hard to find a better board. Hard, but not impossible. EVGA left off a piece that streamers of large files over LAN will miss... NIC Teaming. Although the RealTek controller supports it, EVGA did not implement it on this X58 board. The only people who will notice this are those building a file server and have a compatible switch, needing a full 2Gb/s transfer rate. I didn't do my research fully and assumed this board had it, since all my prior EVGA boards did.
Other than that, it's great.

I recently looked at the price and I am glad I got this early. As part of a bundle I got this board for $249.
If you want to enable eSATA as a hot plugin make sure you change your BIOS settings before you install your OS as it will cause BSOD if you try changing it after you OS is installed.

Overall i am very satisfied. Shipping was quick and on time. Extremely good deal considering it was a 300$ mobo for 150. The only negative i could say was that there was a few cables missing as well as the I/O shield. Other than that, everything was great.Customer Review: Tech support/Customer service needs help

This review relates more to the company than to the product.
I'm quite disappointed in EVGA as a company. I've had issues with mine since I purchased it. The first issue I was able to resolve on my own by visiting forums and reading other user fixes.
This new problem appeared approx 1 year + less than 1 month after the purchase, I wasn't able to resolve it on my own, and it will not be covered by EVGA because I didn't send in my registration information on time. I paid the same amount of money as everyone else. I bought an absolute top of the line item. I spared no expense in building my system. I asked that EVGA accept the registration for my card as if I had sent it earlier and extend my warranty since it requires nothing for them to do so, and provides only the service I would have otherwise received.
I'm left with a computer that produces errors and no warranty versus the lifetime warranty that should have come with it had I registered.
Note: It is absolutely my fault for not sending in my registration information.
I can't do much about it, and I'm angry with the company.
