Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of ETYMOTIC RESEARCH ER20BP High Fidelity Ear Plugs ( Clear )Customer Review: Highest Quality Earplugs Summary: 5 Stars
Pros:
These are without a doubt the highest quality earplugs on the market. They take only a second or two to insert properly. Once inserted, they are completely forgettable, meaning they cause absolutely no discomfort, for as long as you care to wear them.
Cons:
Although they are billed as "high fidelity," there is really no such thing as a high fidelity earplug. High fidelity earplugs sound more like foam earplugs with more treble than they do like non attenuated sound.
Don't bother wearing these plugs with a hoodie or woolcap. They are going to rub against the ends of the plugs jutting out from your ear and generate a lot of noise.
Can't sleep with them either, since they jut out.
Overall: best in class, and appropriate for any situation requiring noise attenuation, except perhaps, stupid loud environments.
Customer Review: Excellent earplugs and a cheap cost, too! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these earplugs after a doctor recommended that I use some while listening to music. A site I found via google recommended these earplugs, and I thought I'd give them a whirl.
These earplugs are a godsend! They don't block out music to the point where I can't hear anything (I can still hear all the instruments crystal clear, only at a lower volume), I can still hear people talking to me, and sounds are clear, only softer. It's like someone turned the volume down, but not to an unpleasant point, either.
They're also really easy to insert (not painful or uncomfortable at all), easy to clean, and generally can be carried everywhere for possible use. For this price, I'm very satisfied with what I've recieved, and I can't recommend them enough.
Customer Review: Great plugs Summary: 5 Stars
Same as the ER20's direct from Etymotic, without the $8 shipping. The "BP" is just the plug color. I play in small rooms with very loud bands 10+ hours a week and have been wearing these for a few years now. (This is my 4th pair.)
Unless you're going to pay the couple hundred bucks to get custom molded plugs, these are the best sounding you're going to find. Also, very comfortable to wear for hours at a time (much more than foam plugs.)
Also, unlike foam plugs you hear sound evenly without hearing your own voice any louder, so it's great for singers and for being able to carry a conversation at a club without yelling at someone not realizing how loud you're talking.
Customer Review: These Really Work. Summary: 5 Stars
I just recieved my pair of these ear plugs in the mail today. Let me recount my experience with them...
1) Place ear plugs in ears.
2) Crank up guitar amp - way up.
3) Wonder why my amp doesn't sound that loud.
4) Take one ear plug out.
5) Play a chord.
6) Almost explode - skull attempts to split in half.
7) Put ear plug back in.
Man these things are good. Just as advertised, these puppies just turn the volume down on the sound. Everything seemed clear, just not as loud.
If these things were a girl, I'd leave my wife for them and have a dozen children.

Customer Review: Wonderful Product Summary: 5 Stars
Experience:
I recently used these earplugs at a rave. Benny Benassi sounded as beautiful as he should with these plugs. There was an extreme amount of bass and these headphones brought it down to a level where you can actually hear the music clearly.
How They Fit:
If you have bigger ear canals I recommend these earplugs versus the smaller blue ones. The headphones fit very snugly in your ears. You have to cram them in deep, but that creates the suction.
Notice! If you are sweating a lot you might have problems with them falling out easily and they are fragile.
