Customer Review: reliable little switch, been working for years

I first picked up this switch in 2004 mostly because it was a good deal at the time, even though I didn't have any immediate uses for it. Since then I've used it sporadically in different houses and apartments. I've used it as a desktop switch (it is completely silent), and as a temporary link to move data amongst a small group of systems when no other network was available. At the moment it's serving as the main switch for all the systems in my house including several laptops and desktops, a home theater PC, and other AV appliances. I still get 100 mb throughput and it hasn't had a single hiccup in all the years I've had it. It doesn't have any of the fancier bells and whistles you'd want in an enterprise environment, but for a home environment where all you need is a basic unmanaged switch that is reliable,. sturdy, quiet, and cheap, this thing can't be beat.
