Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Duracell 813-0291-07 175 Watt DC to AC Pocket Power Source Inverter

Customer Review: Quality product.
Summary: 5 Stars

I just completed a 4500 mile road trip, and we used this invertor many hours each day to power a laptop running DVD movies for the kids (and their parents!). Operation was flawless: The unit doesn't get too hot, it's quiet, and supplied plenty of power.

My only negative comment would be about the power button and power indicator light. The button could be more prominently marked and the light could be brighter; after all, this is made to be used in a car, where lighting is never ideal. Overall, though, the quality is excellent, especially compared to some other units that I looked at which appeared to have been made in someone's garage.

Customer Review: So far, love it.
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this to run a 90w power supply laptop and works very well. There is a built in fan but the unit still gets warm. There is an independent power button in case you no longer want to have it on as apposed to unplugging. I was pleased to see both a cigarette lighter connection and a hardwire battery clamp connections (both positive/negative). The cigarette lighter cord is actually 2 feet long, not really short as pictured.

I've only used this a handful of times and it hasn't let me down. There is another model that people complained had a loud fan, but this one is really quiet. Combine it with road noise and you definitely won't hear it.

Customer Review: Works As Described
Summary: 5 Stars

I plugged the Duracell Inverter in my outlet in the car and I am able to charge my cellphone and my GPS via the USB connection at the same time. I think it works perfect. I took it camping over 4 days and kept my cellphone, GPS, and camera fully charged.

There are some reviews where people said it didn't have enough power for some things but they must not have done any research before they purchases the product. Nothing you plug into your car outlet will power anything BIG. You can't blame the product for not doing something it was never meant to do. I think it is perfect and amazingly small - I am 100% happy with my purchase.

Customer Review: Great power inverter
Summary: 5 Stars

This little inverter works great! It's extremely quiet and compact. I've seen cell phones larger than this thing. The USB port is a plus since a lot of today's phones are charged this way. It isn't listed in the description but this inverter will give you 130w through a cigarette lighter plug and the full 175w when directly connected to the battery or heavy duty cable.

This thing isn't manufactured by Duracell. It's actually made by Battery Biz, Inc. and all warranty claims will go to them. However, it works flawless and it's great to keep in the laptop bag.

You won't be disappointed.

Customer Review: Mr. Inverter
Summary: 5 Stars

Needed an inverter for a 25 day road trip, this powered and charged many of my devices including a MacBook Pro, mobile phones, powered USB hubs (to charge USB devices) and camera batteries. I was impressed it charged my laptop while I was using it since I had a previous inverter that, when I plugged in an (old) laptop with battery, something happened with the battery and it wouldn't charge. Anyway, great product. 175 watts (or as someone said, 130 watts or so through DC) is enough for your typical electronic devices, just check your watts before buying.
