My main worry for this product before I bought it was the many reviews that it did not power their laptops, I bought this mainly for that purpose. I have a 65W dell laptop and it powered it up without problems. I tried playing movies and everything and it maintained charging state. Worries put to rest. Pretty good product in my option. Slim so very easy to store, and becomes warm to the touch when in use but not hot.
Edit: (Jan 5, 2011). Took this product on a 10 day road trip. Used it for hours with no problems encountered. One thing I noticed, sometimes when I hit the brakes, the unit will for a split second toggle to red (no charge) and back to blue (charge). It happened on a rental van I was driving but not on our CRV.

Small and portable, runs netbook class computers just fine. I'd be afraid to use this on a huge whiz-bang gaming laptop, but it is perfect for smaller laptops.
Nicely finished, and it hides under my seat, with only the cig. lighter plug showing.
The added USB charging/power port is a brilliant addition!
I personally don't like the inverters that are an all-in-one package, where the electronics are on the back of the cig. lighter plug. Just looks tacky.
There is a fan on the bottom of the inverter, and make sure the top and bottom of it (inverter) isn't blocked, for proper cooling.
Highly recommended, for its intended use.

We were doing realtime blog and twitter updates (www.thequietones.info) on a 2500 mile road trip.
Initially we used the Kensington Inverter which was disappointing because of constant fan noise.
That was not the case with this Duracell Inverter, which performed well under high use with a MacBook Pro and Iphone.
Though the Kensington is recommended by Mac in stores and online, it is not a superior product compared to the Duracell.
In addition, the Kensington is priced higher.
What was most impressive was the ability to run the laptop and the Iphone, without interruption while they were still being charged.
We highly recommend this unit.

I haven't used this much yet. In fact I just used it once for about an hour, but worked perfectly for my Dell Inspiron E1505 Laptop. It got warm but not burning hot. It didn't make any discernaable noise that I can recall. Feels compact and solid in your hand. Small enough to keep in my laptop bag (although I'm starting to create a small electronics and accessories store in there). Please note that the picture is deceiving. It looks like the power cord is extremely short, which concerned me regarding placement of the item while in use. It is in fact plenty long (over 24" from end to end) and allows plenty of flexibility as to having room to find a good spot to sit it while in use.Customer Review: worked as designed

This little inverter saved my vacation in Wyoming at Yellowstone! The battery that I had ordered did not show up in time for our vacation. The battery in my camera was getting tired and I knew that I would be taking a lot of pictures. I would take a lot of pictures until there was just no batttery left...camera beeping, red lights flashing ! I would plug the battery charger with battery into the inverter that was plugged into one of the power ports in the car and use my wife's camera or my camera phone. After about an hour or or so the battery would be recharged! It was just that easy! As the tile says, "worked as designed". Can't ask anymore than that!
