Customer Review: Will inflate an Aerobed with included battery cable clips
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this unit to inflate an Aerobed while car-camping. I could not find any information on Aerobed power requirements online, so I was unsure if this unit could do the job. This unit comes with two adapters. One adapter plugs into the lighter socket, while the other allows a connection directly to the car battery. The Aerobed could NOT be inflated using the lighter socket adapter. In fact, the Aerobed fan would not even activate before tripping the unit off. However, when using the direct connection to the car battery with the car at idle, the unit performed perfectly, inflating the Aerobed without any problems. Upon looking through the manual, I found that the lighter adapter only works on devices using less than 130 watts, while the direct connection to the battery allows for use of devices that draw greater than 130 watts. I also tested the unit using the lighter adapter and my laptop, which draws 90 watts, and it worked fine. The size of the unit is fantastic (it truly could fit in your pocket) and the adapters seem rugged.

Customer Review: Smallest inverter ever!
Summary: 5 Stars

This inverter is awesome. It is about the size of a deck of cards which makes it the smallest one I have ever used. It has a USB port for charging my phone and an AC port for charging my laptop.

The biggest issue with any inverter is durability and I havent owned this one for long enough to know for sure (I have had 2 other brands burn out). However I have used it about 20 hours so far.

One feature that I didnt think I would use is a cable with clamps to connect directly to a battery, it turns out that when I went camping I tried it out and bought a deep cycle marine battery and the inverter worked flawlessly.

The only thing I would want that this one doesnt have is a DC outlet so when Im using my car DC outlet I could plug another DC based device (GPS) in it. However all our cars have 2 DC outlets so it isnt that big of a deal.

Customer Review: Better than Expected

I bought this little gem a few weeks ago. I travel extensively with a travel trailer, and when my partner is driving, I like to be on my 17" MacBook Pro. I allowed my battery to drain to 50%, then plugged into the Duracell 175. Initially, the inverter kept cycling on and off. I strung my MackBook cable over the sun visor so the inverter was hanging in front of the air conditioner vent. It stopped cycling on and off, and it completely recharged my battery while using the MacBook. The following day, I put a few strips of Velcro on the back of the inverter, careful to not cover the cooling vent, a few of the opposite velcro strips on the side of an air conditioner vent and wa-la. This little unit has no problem keeping up with using the MacBook Pro, and charging the battery at the same time. I'm totally delighted with this unit, and you can't beat the price.

Customer Review: Great little machine
Summary: 5 Stars

I haven't used too many power inverters, but I'm surprised at how incredibly small, light and generally unintrusive this unit is.

Bought it in time for our 10-day Christmas-to-New Year's road trip. We spent a good deal of time driving and had a GPS and either a smartphone or laptop hooked up to it most of the time ... worked just fine.

Con: the cable from the lighter jack to the unit is not too long, so depending on the placement of things in your car you might not be able to find a good place to put the unit itself. It worked fine in our car (Infiniti G20) and my parents' car (Ford Explorer), though.

Another thing: the advertised power (175W) is actually peak power ... continuous power is more like 130W. If you draw 175W for an extended period of time it might overheat (haven't tried it myself).

This thing is AWESOME. I've used it for my laptop in the car (not while driving :) and I've used the USB for my daughter's iPod and....I used it with the included cables for my car battery to blow up a double-high queen-sized air mattress when out in the middle of no-where when camping. I love it. Small, sleek, very modern looking, not the hulking big ones I've seen. The car battery cables are perfect and good length - like I said, it reached from my car battery to my air mattress on the ground between the length of it and the length of the cord on the mattress itself. I then bought a second one for my adult nephew's birthday because he was with us camping and used it then to charge his laptop and loved the small size and the car battery cables. Excellent product.
