I got this cheap one as I am not going to attach this all the time with my lens (17-55mm Canon). So for all those few time I needed this, it worked fine for me & there was no visible difference in quality. So far so good for me.
You can definitely give this a try before the more expensive ones out there. I don't think you will be disappointed.
