This appears to be OEM, but at that price I can barely believe it. It works great, looks great, and at the price I can't look a gift horse in the mouth as they say. Works in every way the original did, and after the original wore out, I certainly didn't feel like paying the Apple Store price.
I use this for charging with the wall charger only, not for syncing.
Update:
I've bought even more of these, several months later, and am still 100% happy. No breaks, kinks, cracks or failures.

While the picture is misleading, the actual cable is better than the original from Apple that it replaces in two key ways -
1. The cable is retractable, so when you have your phone right next to your laptop, you need not have 3 feet of excess cable getting in the way.
2. The side that connects to the iPhone/iPod locks - thus if the device is, for example, pulled off a table, it won't hit the floor (unless the table is low enough and the cable is extended far enough)

While some of the reviews say that this cable isn't what the picture implies, it was for me. I bought the cable not really caring about the quality because I had somewhat unique plans for it. However, to my surprise, when I opened the envelope, I found a cable reading "Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China." I paid $1.66 for an original Apple iPod charger cable, I'm quite pleased.
One thing that the page does not mention is the length of the cable; the one I received was 3'.

People complain about the cord being cheep and not the same as the real ipod cord i got 5 of them and they were all the same as the cord i got with my ipone and ipod...So i don't know what people are complaining about when they are saying its not as described...Its a dollar people come one not that big of a deal if it does not work...All 5 of mine work and are great...Compared to paying 25 dollars each for a cord at wall-mart you can get the same one here for a dollar...you cant beet it...GREAT by.Customer Review: Egyptian Cotton is the way to a better nights sleep

Every since a friend of mine sent me a set of Egyptian Cotton 400tc sheets I want buy anything else but Egyptian Cotton 400tc plus. Every time I go into a store I am looking for 400tc Egyptian Cotton sheets Deep Pocket if they don't have them I don't buy any sheets at all. My friend has been so nice as to send me more Egyptian Cotton 400tc sheets and I just love them. I sleep so much better. As soon as my head hits the pillow I am out for a great night of soft, peaceful and wonderful sleep.
