My husband and I both have IPhones. So far, we've had to replace the charge cords twice now. The first time I ran mine over with my office chair and broke the connections. The second time my puppy ate through my husbands connector while it was still connected to both the phone and the computer. Then she took off down the hallway with the cord still in her mouth!
We bought the replacements at Amazon for under $2 with free shipping. This is an amazing deal. It's 10 times as much if you buy the original cord at Apple. Although there are bad reviews of the product on Amazon, I have no idea why. My cord looks exactly like the ones that broke and both replacement cords work great.

For the $2.95 price tag through Amazon, I figured I would get a knockoff, but since I wanted a spare for my car and laptop, I figured it was worth risking the $2.95. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these were Apple cables and after close inspection and comparing to the cable that came with my ipod, they were identical. Cables fit great and seem to work great. I was happy that I ordered 2. A bargain.
Looks like mixed reviews on this product. My order was fullfilled by Amazon, looks like between when I ordered and when I posted my review, that changed. So I don't know if that makes the difference.
I was happy with my purchase though.

I don't have photos right now. But as of June 2010, the ones I bought look exactly like the Apple brand cables. Right down to the color of plastic inside the USB and dock connectors. The only difference, is this cable is 1/8th of an inch shorter. Otherwise it looks exactly the same. And it fits firmly (but not too firmly) into the ipod/iphone and USB ports. I don't see how it would disconnect with this variation of the product and I haven't had any issues so far. At least for this version of the product, it's WAY worth the price difference between the Apple branded unit. Before I purchased one of my very own, I have read many other reviews about this Ipod sync cord. Some said it was too short. Some said it was an immitation cord and some said that it erased songs from their ipod's during the sync process. I ordered one and it works SUPERBLY just like the original. It looks just like the original and it isn't short at all. The cord is the original length as the one that came with yor ipod. I'd recommend this. It's cheaper than the original and it does the same exact thing. I would also recommend the wall USB charger power adapter if you need a wall charger. It works great with this sync cord and it is affordable as well.Customer Review: i just lost my usb 2.0 wire and now i need to buy this one!

when i had the ipod dock connector to usb cable, it was the best i ever used. i loved it. i used to take it to school and charge it in my technology class because it has a computer lab. i charged it to a dell pc and it charges well! but it charges faster at home. its the best for sync & charge. for $20, i would be happy to buy this off amazon.com because it is the only known website/seller that sells it. i wish i could get one for less price because this is replaceable and good for people who lost theirs or have problems with theirs. currently, my ipod mini is OFF so i have to wait a bit to make some money and buy a new one. cant wait for this!
