After some recent travels, I lost my ipod charger and needed a new one. A new charger from apple cost somewhere around $19... $19 for a cable!! This one works just fine, I plug it in, and I can transfer music, and I can charge my ipod. Do I care that it's not from apple? absolutely not. Am I gonna think "gee, I wish this cable was from apple" every time I plug in my ipod? Absolutely not. Am I gonna think "Wow, this music would have sounded so much better if it was transferred via an authentic cable from apple"? Absolutely not. Am I glad I didn't overpay by roughly 1,124%? Absolutely.
Bottom line: If you want a cheap cable that does everything an "authentic" cable from apple can do, buy this one. If you want an apple manufactured cable that does the same thing and pay 11 times the price of this one, buy it from the apple store.

I ordered one for my son, two for me, and two for my sister. We're all in different states. Everyone received their cables in a week and, judging from mine, I can't tell the difference between Apple's and these knock-offs. Wouldn't have cared if they were pink and green, tho, cuz THEY WORK PERFECTLY!
My roommate who turned me on to them got some earlier in the year and they're a little different. A little cheezier but they work just fine. Anyone who ordered them thinking they were going to be Apple originals is an idiot...I mean, they sell for $19 at the Apple Store, right?
The most entertaining moron review was from the guy who said his cable 'heated up' more than the original. Oy!
BTW, we're all iPhone 4 users so they work with 3G's and the new 4's.

For those of you who love and know apple.inc we all know that their products are fantastic and well worth the money but the replacement tid bit parts are so expensive such is the case with a suitable replacement for your ipod or iphone 30pin connector. my dog had chewed the cable that i had gotten from apple when i purchased my ipod touch and i relly didnt want to spend an extra $20 for a cable. so when i found that this was for fairly cheap i was excited. the product arrived on time and in great condition and fit on my ipod nicely with no problems and for those who would ask they would just assume it was the original cable so i highly reccommend this product if your looking for a cheap replacement for a worn or damaged cable

this cable works fine to charge and to sync my 3g iphone (3.1.3. firmware). Cable looks OEM. I was worried since some user posted pictures which show a very boxy and ugly looking cable. however, I bought it anyway since it was so cheap. to my surprise they look just like what the seller posted as the picture. (I purchased 5/1/10)
These look like the older Apple style cable with the longer plastic connector on the iphone side. The newer Apple cables have a plastic connected about 1/2 a long. Not an issue for me at all and at $1.77 with free shipping who could ask for anything more?
even if the cable doesn't hold up. I could buy more than 10 and still be better off than buying a cable from the Apple store.

I read many of the reviews about the appearance of the cable and how it isn't genuine. After getting discouraged real quick, I decided that the looks really don't matter, what matters is if this cable powers my iphone and allows it to synchronize (and costs less than the retail $19). To my delight, I received my order and the cables work! And to go even further, the quality is exceptional and extremely close to the original in feel / look. The connectors are a bit jiggly but who cares!? To 95% of you out there that want a cost effective solution, this is it. For those 5% that need this to be an exact cable, you should look elsewhere.
To the creator, these are great cables, thank you for the deal...
