Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Skipdoctor CD Repair KitCustomer Review: Excellent item. Saved me a bundle of disc replacements Summary: 5 Stars
My kids had several GameCube discs that our 5-year-old 'played' with and scratched them to the point where they were unreadable. I used the Skip Dr on them and they are working like new! I have read that it ruins XBox games, but for GameCube, it is a God-send. Make sure you get the 3" disc adapter for the Cube games since it is not made to handle them right out of the box. I did, but it did mess up the resurfacing wheel. They are fairly inexpensive, though. Next, I'll be trying it on DVDs. That's another couple of hundred it should save me!
Customer Review: Works Great Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this product to repair my beloved GTA:SA DVD. I had the DVD in my PS2 which was at a 45 degree angle. Then the DVD fell of the track and started making a grinding sound. I opened up the tray and looked at the DVD. There were two long scratches near the edge of the DVD. I tried playing the GTA, however, I could only load the game and not play it before I received a "Disk Read Error". I decide to try out the Game Doctor which the same thing as the Skip Doctor(just a different color). Now GTA works perfectly.
Customer Review: 8 Years of use cant be wrong Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using this paticular style (cd vertical ) style since 2001. Yes i leaves lines going outward toward the edge of the cd , but this is INVISIBLE to the laser. As far as ruined CD's, I can see this happening if you dont wet the disc or make more than one complete revolution of the cd with out wiping it off and re-wetting it (cd plastic grinds alread done area). if the wheel goes out (about 50 cd's) it just wont remove the scratch as well. use it , wet it , one complete rotation, wipe and enjoy.
Customer Review: They're great! Summary: 5 Stars
I scratched my windows xp pro disc accidentally and I would have had to pay $250 to replace it. I figured $30 was an acceptable risk. My gamble payed off. I followed the directions exactly and though my CDROM drive reads my CD a little slower now, I think it is a lot better than not at all! Also thos little marks that are made by my data doctor are'nt as bad as people make them out to be. They leave for the most part after you buff the cd with that little square they give you
Customer Review: Read the manual Summary: 5 Stars
I got this product quite a while ago from some store, I don't remember which. I found it well wroth the money and has saved me quite a few cds. I ran out of that fluid fast but the booklet that came with it said it was "special purified water" so I just used purified water from the drug store and it worked just fine. The cloudly film and floral patern thing isn't a problem if you wipe it off while its still wet and then buff it well. I really have found this thing great.
