Customer Review: The Skip Dr. Classic works wonders as long as there's a fresh wheel

There seem to have been several different versions of the Skip Dr.. Though I haven't tried any of the motorized models (so don't know what to expect from them), I've mostly had great success with the original Skip Dr. (The "Classic"). I've tried one of the newer non-motorized models (supposedly an improved version) & it was nothing short of a nightmare of bad design. It was virtually unusable. They should just go back to the original design (which isn't always easy to find). The much superior "Classic" has worked for me beautifully 9 times out of 10. Sometimes, the scratches on a disc are just too deep, but, usually, it's marvelous. Anyone who's had consistently bad experiences with this product either isn't following the instructions, has a worn-out wheel (they do need to be replaced every so often & it would be nice if they were more widely available), has discs that are just too far gone, is making the stupid mistake of polishing/buffing in a circular motion (these aren't 33s & 45s, people!) rather than the correct method of center-to-edge, or may be using a "new & improved" model. I guess there are even more powerful, industrial-strength scratch removers, but I don't think I could afford one.
