I was surprised at so many negative reviews for this product. The kids have scratched up CD's, DVD's and Wii games over the years and this thing has done an incredible job of repairing them.
I had realistic expectations about this product before purchasing, but it has far exceeded those expectations. You can't expect it to work 100% of the time, but it does work most of the time.
A number of discs that would either skip or not play at all now work flawlessly. Of course, some are irreparably damaged and can not be repaired, but that is more the exception than the norm.

This little machine is beyond amazing. My girlfriend and I bought ours this weekend and already have fixed over 100 dollars worth of cds that would otherwise be ruined. There is ONLY ONE down side to the Skip Dr. and that would be that it doesn't come with a power adapter and the batteries dont provide enough power to properly fix cds, however after buying the adapter from Radioshack we find this machine to be a helpful addition to our very large cd collection. With over 600 cds between the both of us this little wonder is going to be put to amazing use for years to come!Customer Review: CD repairs

I had one of these, years ago. It was not made by the same manufacturer, but still the same concept. I am a dj and alot of my stuff can become surface scratched, so I need something to help out with it. My last one has been gone for a few years, and I finally bought this new one. I have fixed so far about 6 discs that I was having some skip problems. So for the price of this machine, and the results you get, I would buy this, it is worth it! And even though they do not tell you, it does come with a wall plug adapter, so you don't have to use batteries all the time.Customer Review: Does just what i hoped it would do.

I ordered this because i had three dvd discs that would not play because of scratches or other defects on the disc. I figured it I could repair those discs, the machine will have paid for itself. Well, the machine has paid for itself. Each disc plays perfectly now. I'm glad to have the peace of mind that if anything happens to a dvd or cd. I won't have to worry about it.
Machine and cleaning cloths are all easy to use. A quick look at the instructions and i was off. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this machine.

After purchasing the Skip doctor, I decided to use it on some heavily damaged cds that were completely unreadable, including game Cds. I followed the simple directions like it said, and when I went to play my cds, they worked!! The skip Dr. didnt get rid of all of the scratches, but it got rid of most of them, and the ones that didnt get removed were lightened!! I would highly recommend this to anyone who has Cds that dont work. The shipping was quick & on time too!!
