Thank goodness I found this product! I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and they rule the DVD player. They pull the movies out, they put them back in and we all know kids are VERY careless when it comes to DVD's. So many movies I thought were ruined and long gone. I was able to fix 6 previously skipping and 1 completely unplayable DVD. I can't tell you how much $ this saved me and how much it will in the future too! Granted the 1 that was completely unplayable had a few deep scratches so it took a few cycles but wow, amazing. The DVD just pauses for a brief sec in one spot now but otherwise the whole movie works great. Best Purchase ever if you've got kids and DVD's, cd's or games.Customer Review: Smooth fix

I'm on my nineteenth dvd disk and still no problems. Just plug it in and away it goes. I only had two disks that required more than one turn in the machine. I thought they were both lost causes but the Skip Dr. was able to revive them. Another nice thing is it doesn't take a genius to work it and the kids have been able to fix their music cd's also. I have yet to put any gaming (PC or WII) games disks into it so I'm not sure about them yet.
I also bought the extra wheel kit and extra solution. I probably didn't need to buy the extra solution, but I bought the whole accessory kit for the three-for-one deal. The whole deal made the buy that much easier for me.

This thing is unreal. It has repaired every disc that I own that was scratched. It will remove all light scratches with out any problem, deep scratches can be fixed with multiple runs. It cleared up some of my worst cd's so that I could copy them with EAC or dBpoweramp flawlessly. The only thing that is annoying is that it's kind of loud when operating, but you'll probably enjoy listening to it as it works.
It will NOT repair discs that have scratches on the side with the label, but then again, NOTHING can repair a disc damaged in that way, because that is where the data is stored. (for those of you who didn't know) If that's the case, just buy a new cd.

I bought this to try to fix some of my child's scratched up DVDs. It works well, but you might have to run a DVD through multiple times. Example: DVD that had a place where it skipped/got stuck towards the end. First run through, the DVD was terrible. YOu couldn't even watch any of it. I came very close to writing a terrible review. I ran it through a second time and the DVD was returned to its original condidtion without the skip being fixed at all. I ran it through a third time and the skip was almost completely fixed. Slight mess up in the audio and a few weird pixels on the screen. So, I ran it through again and I think its completely fixed.Customer Review: Worth every penny!

Bought this unit about five months ago because I was frustrated with borrowing and renting DVDs and not being able to watch them on our player. The user reviews were very helpful, and it works like a charm, saving us tons of money in DVD purchase and rental. There are two tips that were particularly helpful.
1. Use a generous amount of spray on each disk you clean, and
2. Severely scratched disks will need to be cleaned more than once for optimal performance.
Just bought a refill kit and expect to get much more milage from this product. Would definitely purchase another and have already recommended it to several people.
