My wife purchased this for our daughter for Christmas. It looked small and cute and she was SO excited to receive it.
She spent all morning taking picture after picture and wanted to finally see them on the computer.
Being a fairly computer savvy person, I followed all the directions for installing the software on a machine running Vista. No dice, wouldn't load at all. Downloaded the latest software from their support website, still nothing. Had to resort to installing it on an XP machine.
Ok, not a big deal, until we saw the quality...
I didn't expect much, but what we got was awful. As most people said, they were VERY dark and the ones that did take had our heads cut off. I tried taking some myself and got the same result.
The worst part though is the battery life. Again, it's not an expensive camera and my daughter still thinks it's neat, so no big deal, EXCEPT the batteries keep dying. We put a new battery in that day and after the first 40 pics, it was dead. I thought maybe I had a bad battery so I changed it. 2nd battery lasted overnight and was dead in the morning...again, about 40 pics. The last straw was yesterday when I put in 1 more new battery and an hour later it was dead.
Don't waste your money, even if it's free after rebate. You'll lose it after replacing battery after battery.
