Customer Review: Six years, and still going.

For over six years, I've carried my 17.3-inch computer around the world and back again in this backpack, and I've never been anything less than happy with it.
The bag is big enough to fit a laptop, charger, and a week's worth of clothes and accessories for the light packer, and still probably a few days for a slightly heavier packer.
The biggest pocket is the main one, and can be accessed by either the front zipper or the top zipper. Either zipper gives access to the semi-separate laptop compartment, with velcro and elastic strap to secure anything in the section. That section is separated from the back of the bag by some padding, and feels just fine on when worn, even with a bulky and flat computer against your back - it's actually even good for riding a bike for very long distances. There are two small pockets on either side of the bag (each can hold about a 20-oz soda-sized and -shaped object), and three other pockets - the smallest is on the bottom front (big enough for keys, MP3 player, and stick of deoderant), and next biggest behind that (comfortably fits five 20-oz bottles of soda). A 1,300 page textbook fits snugly in the next biggest one.
This backpack is not waterproof, nor is it marketed as such. That said, I've found myself in the rain numerous times while using it and it has kept everything in it dry. As long as the top zipper is zipped completely, there should be no water problem.
This backpack is surprisingly well-made. I've used it extensively, and very roughly, for six years, and there has never even been so much as a loose seam. It gets thrown around, stepped on, clawed by cats, fallen off bikes with me, etcetera, and continues to hold up. This bag is a GREAT purchase and highly recommended.
