this is a very small and handy device. it's smaller than my laptop, I have a 17" widescreen but it actually makes it fit on my lap better. I love it. I can't say how it will work long term but so far it's great. Almost silent too.Customer Review: Keep your laptop cool

My laptop used to get so hot, it burned my hand when I touched it. I have no problems at all anymore as far as heat goes. I have a 14.1" widescreen laptop and it fits nearly perfectly underneath it.
