Customer Review: Great USB Hub AND a Great Price

I purchased this hub back in September. I plugged it in and I'm running two printers and my mouse off of it at the moment, I've had no problems. It doesn't take up too much room even with 7 ports.
My only complaint isn't with Amazon, it's with D-Link. After I sent in the rebate info, I got a card from D-Link saying my request wasn't valid because I hadn't purchased it from the right store. But I called them, and in about 10 minutes I had the problem cleared up and had my rebate a week later. I HIGHLY recommend keeping copies of all the rebate info, just in case...

I had a 4-port Belkin hub which required cables to stick out on three sides - and another 2 port hub connected to that.
This gem solved my problem. It's about the size of a cassette recorder and all the USB connectors fit neatly. (Of course there's no getting around the problems of all the cables.
I simply attached the power adapter and the USB connections and restarted my computer. My five peripherals were found and I've had no problem. The price is right, the shipping is free, and for the next few weeks there is a $10 rebate. You can't lose.

So far so good. I don't have any USB 1.1 devices so that won't be a problem. The WD 640 GB drive works fine with it configured as drive L. I also have a HP 2175 all-in-one and a Arduino micro-controller plugged in at the same time. All are running fine. If you connect from a USB port on the back all the cables in the front are a thing of the past. The computer is a HP Media Center PC with 3Gb ram, 640Gb internal hard drive, AMD dual-core processor, DVD burner, nvidia GeForce 9600 GT supercharged on the PCI express bus and runs MS Windows Vista Home Premium edition.Customer Review: Impresive USB

This was not only an excellent USB port, but also was send to me fast and in a very good package, complety safe. The 7 port USB are easy to use, it was a perfect solution when I observed that my HP laptop was short in USB port (I have printer, mouse and keyboard wireless and other devices, including two pen driver and an external hard disk). I am not using all devices simultaneously every time, but the D-Link DUB-H7 USB permit me to use all stuff connected and to insert another one without any concern about the pen driver or the printer...(...Did you save the file?).Customer Review: More than 3 years of use and never any issues!

Take it out of the box, plus its power adapter, connect it to your computer and voila! that is all you need to do and your new hub will be ready for use. I have never had any issues with it in more than 3 years of use, every peripheral I have connected to it has worked flawlessly and has been recognized in a heartbeat. If you have an old peripheral that uses USB lower than 2.0, then you might have some issues, but that is VERY rare these days as basically all peripherals out there use USB 2.0 or higher...so you should not have any issues. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
