Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of D-Link DUB-H7 High Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub

Customer Review: Easy to use
Summary: 5 Stars

I use the usb hub to connect all my USB stuffs. It proves that this usb hub with external power supply can support my external usb 2.0 harddrive(no internal power supply), webcam, mouse and printer. Actually I also use the hub as a power supplier when recharging my bluetooth headset.

But one thing you need to know that if you connect one USB 1.0 equipment in the hub, then the speed of all other usb stuffs will be lowered to USB 1.0. I have no idea why it can work in a sperate way. Anyway, in all the hub is still a good one. I have only 3 usb port in my T61. I desperately need it.

Customer Review: USB port makes it easy to connect additional devices
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this port to expand the number of 2.0 capable ports on my computer. The advantage of this unit is that it has so many ports available on one small package. I placed it on my mini-tower where it is easily accessible to plug devices in, such as my digital camera, GPS unit, etc. I only had one issue with installation, where it was not recognized correctly when initially hooking it up to the computer. It turned out to be a USB motherboard driver issue. I simply downloaded the latest drivers for my motherboard and the problem disappeared.
Overall, a good port for the money.

Customer Review: Love This Hub!
Summary: 5 Stars

If you're like me you have all kinds of USB devices that you have to keep plugging and unplugging to use. No more. This has 8 ports so you can leave all your cords attached and use everything as you need it. I have plugged in right now an external hard drive, photo printer, wireless keyboard and mouse, USB turntable,MP3 player and camera and still have 2 slots left. Also has cool green lights to let you know its on and powered. Does need AC power to run. No problem running multiple devices off it at the same time and a great value for the money. Just plug it into a USB 2.0 port on your PC.

Customer Review: Great USB Hub
Summary: 5 Stars

This does exactly what it's supposed to do, and does it very well. It's powered, so you can charge iPods and the like from it as well as powering external hard drives and other devices that won't work with bus-powered hubs. It also looks nice on my desk, which is another plus. Only problem I've had with it is that the ports are too close together to use flash drives in. If you use a flash drive, you will usually block the two ports on either side of the one the flash drive is plugged into. This usually isn't a big deal (how many flash drives do you really need?) but just a word of warning.

Customer Review: Works as expected - No problems at all
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had this 7-port hub for more than 6 months now. It has worked fine with every USB device I have connected. I use it with an iMac (recent Intel model). I typically have 4 or 5 of its ports filled, including an iPod shuffle and a full-size iPod (old 4th gen). Some of the other devices are the older USB 1.1 type. They all work fine together. I like the compact design with the line of vertically-oriented USB ports, all on one side. Because the ports are vertical, there is no problem with wide devices blocking the adjacent port. I have recommended this device to others.
