Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of D-Link DUB-H7 High Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub

Customer Review: No Worries
Summary: 5 Stars

When I received the 7-Port Hub, I plugged all the printers, scanner, etc., in; and everything works great! What else is there to say? Previously, I had two 4 port units strung together like a clothes line, and some plug ins did not work - it was a mess. Those units are gone now, the mess is cleaned up, and all the units plugged into the 7-Port Hub work just fine - all the time.
Am quite pleased. Actually, I don't have to think about that stuff anymore! That's the greatest part. Things that work right tend to become invisible - off the radar screen - out of mind.
That is satisfaction with a good purchase decision.

Customer Review: Works
Summary: 5 Stars

I keep forgetting I even have this product. I've plugged in everything I've wanted to have connected to my computer (two external hard drives, external 16X DVD-burner, 4GB USB flash drive, thrustmaster game controller, Natural Keyboard Pro) and everything is working without any problems. I love not having to lean over the back of the computer to change what's plugged in just to do a different activity. I haven't tediously measured throughput or transfer rates, but I don't notice any slowdowns in my file transfers. I don't think having USB 1.1 devices plugged in at the same time as 2.0 things makes the whole thing go at 1.1.

Customer Review: Ideal Hub to eliminate Laptop USB Spaghetti Syndrome
Summary: 5 Stars

Who needs a docking station when you have this great 7-port hub? Setup is a snap. The power cord and the USB cord to the laptop is long enough to keep the mess of add-on USB cables and devices far away from your laptop. As mentioned above, the power adapter doesn't take up more than one socket on your powerstrip. It's not only compact but a nice rectangular square design to place portrait or landscape on your desk. Sounds like a simple idea but look at the other oddly shaped hubs out there.

The best part is just having to plug and unplug 1 USB cable when I takeoff with my laptop now.

Customer Review: Works Great
Summary: 5 Stars

I own three. One is hooked up to my Airport Extreme Base station and feeds two Western Digital 2 TB Hard drives as House Network Back-ups and a printer. The other two I use for my XBOX's, so they get banged around a little bit. Issues so far. Important- you need to power the device with the supplied wall wart. Although it will pass data without it, any drive or device that requires power of any kind will draw it from the D-Link. And if you want your stuff to work right, it is the smart thing to do. Things thing gets a rebate attached to it every once in a while, making it about $5 - worth the wait.

Customer Review: Reliable and Sturdy USB hub
Summary: 5 Stars

Purchased the USB hub a month back, and it has been plugged into my Mac for the same duration. During this time, I have had no problems or issues with the product. My only real concern with the product is trying to get the product to stay on the table... as the product is light and while the product seems sturdy, the main USB attached to the device seems to drag the USB hub off the table. I considered putting the usb hub on the floor, however, decided against that as it would make plugging new devices in a hassle. Overall a good and affordable hub, however, wish it would heavier for the purpose above.
