Dance Dance Revolution has become evening entertainment in our home. All of us- both parents, teenage son, preteen daughter, and preschool daughter, play together. You can adjust the difficulty for the individual even while playing two player, and it can be as competitive as you like...or not. We take turns dancing and laughing.
The ONLY downside to this game is the fact that these dance mats do great for the average user, but they do not do well with big feet. Size 12 is ok, but the size 14 flippers my son has constantly push more than one button and actually cause the buttons within the mat to move some. After he plays we smooth the mat out some and it is back to normal use. If a user is a bigfoot, you may want to look into other dance pad options to eliminate the frustration.

My husband and I walk frequently, but when the weather turns wet and cold, we can't get out as much. We thought about purchasing a walking machine, but they can be pricey, and they take up a lot of space. Our daughter and son-in-law got one of the DDR games and a dance pad for Christmas, so we tried it out. What a blast! Even people like me who have no sense of rhythm can do it. And just going through the lessons provides a good, aerobic workout. So now my husband and I can dance to our hearts' content and get the exercise we need, even when the weather's nasty.Customer Review: Mod these pads are they perform GREAT!

I followed the advice of another reviewer on here that recommended modifying the pads using wood. Actually all I did was throw a piece of 3/4" plywood underneath each pad, and use packaging tape to secure the pad down. Now each pad has great response, doesn't bend, slide, or crumple, and they have not had any of the "foam bunching up" issues after a month of VERY HEAVY use by dozens of kids and adults. You can't beat the price either! If they do break, it will be painless to grab a couple more at this price. I highly recommend!Customer Review: amaizing

i bought this for my sister for her birthday and when i did it gave me an estimate that it actually wouldnt arrive at my house untill 3 days after har birthday and to my surprize it came almost 4 days before her birthday i was amaized and excited that i didnt have to wait and the mats were brand new and in awsome condition and she uses them constantly i would by from here againCustomer Review: Can't beat the price on this!

The mats respond well to our games, we haven't had any problems with them functioning at all.
They can slip and move but my guess is that all these types will. If you want something that doesn't move to easy I would put money into a metal mat controller. For us, these are working just great and the price was nice.
