Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of D-Link DBT-120 Wireless Bluetooth 2.0 USB AdapterCustomer Review: Works perfect with Mac Pro Summary: 5 Stars
For my birthday I got a magic mouse and a wireless Apple keyboard. I unplugged my wired mouse and keybouard and waited for wireless joy to begin. One problem - my Mac Pro had no bluetooth?! Wow. Who would have thought. It's only a few years old and even my old PowerMac G4 notebook has bluetooth. Anyway, thank god the computer inventors anticipated this and created bluetooth adaptors. I read a few reviews and it looked like D-link was best chance for working and I ordered it. When it came I plugged it in back of computer in USB port and everything linked in a flash. The wireless joy thus began. Highly recommend.
Customer Review: Works great on macs Summary: 5 Stars
Works perfectly on my 2 1/2 year old iBook with OS X 10.3. Just plug it in and have iSync search for your telephone. Once it's found it, you're in business from now on. All you have to do to is hit the sync button on Isync and that's it. No probs. My friend that also has a Nokia 3650 and a PC can't get the bluetooth to work for the life of him. Sounds like many other people have this hassle. Well, at least your computer was cheap, huh? Guess you didn't think about what your time is worth. My time is worth more than dinking around with a PC and dealing with crashes. I have work to do.
Customer Review: Fine Piece of Technology Summary: 5 Stars
This product works very well for what I need it for. I use it to send ringtones, themes, wallpapers, pictures, music, games and such to my phone from my computer. It makes sending and receiving things to and from my computer and phone very simple. The best part about it for me is that I can make my own ringtones on my computer from my music then use this bluetooth adapter to send it to my phone so I don't have to spend any money on cool ringtones. I even have an older macintosh computer and it works great! I recommend this product who needs to adapt their computer device to use bluetooth.
Customer Review: Bluetooth Connection Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this item with some hesitation for fear of running into setup problems. After a quick and easy install, my fears immediately disolved when my office manager's computer (Running Windows 98 and Office 2000) appeared on my bluetooth enabled iPAQ. With this handy wireless connection I can also pick up my e-mail and browse the web with the iPAQ. No more confusion with the calendar and corrections or passing the iPAQ around the office, plugging and unplugging to get everything "in sync"! This device is a must. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner.
Customer Review: Nice little dongle. Summary: 5 Stars
I have the revision 5. Works just as good as any other BT dongle only I think they have better tech support than the others. I had trouble connecting my PDA via BT to my main computer and went to D-Link's site only to find they had updated drivers.
It wasn't really D-Link's fault that the current drivers weren't working, it was Windows XP's fault. Anyway, they gave me a download link and very good instructions on how do re-install D-Link's drivers and how to get the device to looks for those particular drivers instead of Windows generic BT drivers.
