Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of D-Link DBT-120 Wireless Bluetooth 2.0 USB AdapterCustomer Review: Worked perfectly first time, and always has Summary: 5 Stars
This is the perfect gadget as far as I'm concerned. It's cheap, it's small, it's light, you plug it in and you have Bluetooth, no configuration necessary. At least, it works perfectly with my 800MHz G3 iBook running OS X. It seems that XP users may have a little more difficulty. I wouldn't want to say anything about that as I might look smug. Anyway, if you have other BT devices it's wonderful. I've used it to send and receive files to and from a Tungsten T, a T616 and a Nokia 3650. (If you don't have any other BT devices, why would you want this device?) I've also used the T616 and 3650 as portable wireless modems, and, while expensive, this is *the* best use for the D-Link with a laptop. You can get net access anywhere you can get a cellphone signal. I really can't think of anything bad about the D-Link.
Customer Review: EASY to install Summary: 5 Stars
I own a Nokia 3650, so decided to look for a bluetooth adapter for my pc, well I had 3 choices, and I chose D-Link. Then read bunch of stuff saying that it doesnt work! well-- let me tell you something-- I bought it, it took me 10-15 mins to install & reboot my pc... and then voila! it was working. Then, the final step once you finished all the steps in the booklet is: pair your phone! In your phone go to Connectivity, click on Bluetooth, then turn it on, then pair it. it will look for devices, and it will find ur pc. and then u set it as authorized so u have easy access. now, picture times.. go to images, select ur pic then click on send and select bluetooth.. On the D-link software for bluetooth (double click on icon) there is a saving folder : select, ur pics are there!
Customer Review: Camera phone pictures into my Mac Summary: 5 Stars
I had a new Sony Ericson cell phone with a camera capability, but how to get the pictures into iPhoto. The D-Link DBT-120 plugs right into a spare USB port, flashes a few times...and my cell phone was immediately recognized with the pictures downloaded quite quickly.
I didn't try and experiments as to distance or going through walls, etc. It worked perfectly at the desk where my G5 Mac sits and that was all I needed. Price seemed right, too.
It just sits there do whatever it does. Basicly, out of sight, out of mind. I'm anxious to see what else it can do as Bluetooth technology comes into wider use. I'd like to have my iPod transmit into my motorcycle helmet speakers without any wires. Nolan helmets has it and J & M will have such a unit in the spring
Customer Review: This made my Magic Mouse work perfectly Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this bluetooth adapter because my old D-Link bluetooth adapter wasn't compatible with the new Apple Magic Mouse. I have an older G4 pro Mac tower and wanted to use the new Magic Mouse. After a lot of frustration trying to get the OLD adapter to work I performed some research on the internet and found this model. It worked flawlessly. My Magic Mouse now functions perfectly well with my G4 Mirror Drive Door tower running 10.5.8. I have the adapter plugged into the port on my Cinema Display. Yes, even with all this old equipment (these Macs just keep on working and working well!) this adapter lets me use this fantastic Magic Mouse. I don't use many other bluetooth devices, but I know this also works with an older bluetooth Mighty Mouse.
Customer Review: After a few updates, works perfectly Summary: 5 Stars
I had to go to the D-link website and download the new drivers because they have had problems with WinXP trying to use it's own drivers and there is a problem with the MAC address certification. so that would explain why a lot of people have been having problems getting this to work.
But after I installed the new D-link drivers I have had perfect preformance ever since. it communicates with my Motorola RAZR V3 perfectly, I can transfer pics, audio, video, and internet connection with no problems. the range is also impressive. and the interface is pretty easy to use. I have always been a fan of D-link. their Tech-support has a lot to be desired, but when you get the product to work I have never had problems afterwards.
