The D-Link DGS-2205 5 port Gigabyte Switch performs exactly as it should. Plug and play.
Literally took a 10/100 switch out and replaced it with the DGS-2205, and instant Gigabyte speeds over Ethernet.
I would not hesitate to buy another if I had the need. In fact, I just may do so, to future proof my expanding wired network.

I bought this switch for my bedroom since I wanted to plug my computer, blu-ray player, and Dish receiver into the ethernet jack in my room. I have been very happy with it and have not had any reliability issues. It has worked from the minute I plugged it in. I also have two other D-Link routers in my house, and I am only going to buy D-Link from now on. I would definitely recommend it.Customer Review: Great switch for home or small office

My router ports were all full and I was manually switching two devices as needed. Saw this item and for the price thought it was a no brainer. Item arrived as expected, hook-up was simple as plugging in my devices and turning it on. Speed has been exceptional and the small foot print is welcome. I needed to add a couple of ports to my home router, and this switch did the trick. While I bought it because of the price, quality, and features -- especially the 10/100/1000 options, I'll admit that I feel better about my choice knowing that is an energy saver as well. Looked at a lot of reviews of various products for switchers. This seemed to offer enough options. No set-up involved. Just plugged it into my Airport Express, plugged the TV into the switcher. All seems to work fine. My PS3 uses wireless, so didn't need to plug it in here. But I plan to get a surround sound system soon, so I'll be glad to have the switcher all ready to use.
