This is a great phone. I ordered one from Pottery Barn years ago; I was never happy with that phone. I could hear the radio in the background. I have moved a few times and at every new home I could pick up AM talk radio in the phone. Very strange. However, I loved the look of this "old fashioned" phone. So I decided to try again with a cheaper version of the "old fashioned" phone. The style is great. The sound is very good. No background noise or talk radio. I just use it as a stationary phone in the kitchen. The phone is a little heavy and will slide out from under your ear if you are trying to hold it between your ear and shoulder. My family loves this phone and after several drops on the floor, the phone still looks and sounds great. It is a good all round stylish sturdy phone.

The Crosley 302 Phone returns to the wall in this Henry Dreyfuss tribute. Dreyfuss, considered a brilliant industrial designer, worked with Bell Telephone Laboratories designing telephones that were sensitive to consumers' desire to suit a variety of home environments. Well known for the 302 style Desk Phone, he later shifted his design efforts to include this wall unit allowing consumers to walk with the phone while cradling it on their shoulder. This unified and balanced form replaced the awkward and ungainly shapes of earlier models. Would you believe Dreyfuss actually used measurements from over 2000 faces to determine the average distance between the mouth and ear? The Crosley 302 Wall Phone features the nostalgic rotary dial but actually functions with push button technology.
