Its good with its result and quality is fine, Easy to install and use.
The only problem is , its hard to attach it on the laptop , because of it usually fell because of the loose grip.
Customer Review: Webcam Summary: 4 Stars
I like the webcam alot, but I am a little disappointed with the resolution. I figured it would have been more clear since it claims to be 7.0 megapixel.
Customer Review: Good product Summary: 4 Stars
Received the product in tact.... good product, no problem installing the software. Can consider to purchase, but definitely not for the full price!
Customer Review: no linux support Summary: 3 Stars
Well, I haven't used this camera much. But, I had to pirate windows just to get it working, which is too bad. In other words, there isn't a linux driver for this webcam. I wish there was an easier way to determine if there is linux support for a model or not.
Using the webcam, I noticed ALLOT of blurring. This was due to the exposure setting being set to 'auto'. I turned that off, and set it to 1. Its a little darker, but I would prefer to just get a lamp to correct that. I still haven't gotten the hang of setting the white balance.
Despite these bumps, I got the webcam for a good price, and I think it will suit my purposes just fine, so I'm quite happy. I would expect that if I wanted better than this cam, I would have to get a real digital video camera.
On a side note, this experience highlights how much better ubuntu is over windows2000. It took me 2 days to install windows, with the first attempt crashing, and I had to start over. All the drivers/updates/reboots. I know w2k is old, but I thought it was supposed to be the best out of 2k/xp/vista. Ah well.
Customer Review: Bad experience with Creative web-cams in the past ... Summary: 3 Stars
I bought a creative webcam in 2003 that kind of resembled a snail shell. It was total garbage! Slow responses times, hardly ever took a "stable" picture (mostly blurry), did not have good light response, and didn't even rotate! This was supposed to be a webcam that could also be a portable digital camera. Ha! Not so much. I paid $100 through Amazon for this Creative Web-Cam. I did not know that this camera was garbage and I was so frustrated that I never tried to return it for a refund -- I just suffered with it's inadequacy. Two years earlier, I bought an Intel webcam through Dell for $48. It worked great -- it even swiveled, and made movies! Only $48! So why is Creative making garbage for $100? Maybe they have improved in 4 years? I don't know. Karma always comes back around, so this is my report and caveat to people about my experience with a garbage webcam bought from Creative.
