Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Creative Labs SB0570 PCI Sound Blaster Audigy SE Sound CardCustomer Review: Audigy Se, A great card for the price. Summary: 5 Stars
Creative SoundBlaster Audigy SE might not be the top of the line card manufactured by Creative, but it sounds like one. With 24-bit Advanced HD the card has the ability to work with headphones, 2, 2.1, 4, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 speaker systems. Sounds great with Acoustic Authority A-5640RB 5.1 speaker set. For the price you end up getting a great sounding card for use with movies, game, etc. The card is compliant with PCI 2.1. The newest drivers available on the Creative website adds EAX®4.0 ADVANCED HD(tm) capabilities.
Customer Review: Works well in Vista for 2.1 sound Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a sound card for my Dell 4600 computer, as the OEM sound card would not work when I upgraded to Windows Vista Home Premium. After reading all of the reviews I could find, I bought the Audigy SE card, installed it on XP, then upgraded the computer to Vista. Both the install on XP and the upgrade to Vista went smoothly. Immediately after upgrading to Vista, I downloaded and installed updated drivers from the Creative website, which also went smoothly.
Note that I needed the card for 2.1 sound only.
Customer Review: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE - Great Performer! Summary: 5 Stars
A great sound card for the price! I replaced my daughter's on-board sound with the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE and immediately noticed the difference. I plugged in the Logitech x-230 2.1 2-Piece Dual Drive Speakers with Ported Subwoofer- New Whitebox speaker system and the sound was great! A good combination at a great price!
Customer Review: Great Sound Card, and Cheap too! Summary: 5 Stars
I just bought this sound card at Bestbuy to replace my Realtek HD onboard audio that was having problems. Playing BF2 with EAX sounds amazing, vibrant sound and amazing clarity. I was going to buy a Soundblaster X-Fi, but why pay $122 when you can get amazing sound for only $22! Overall no problems, except the volume is drastically louder than my last sound card (have to turn the volume down to 1/8 what it used to be). Your music, video, and games will sound great with this budget sound card!
Customer Review: Perfect for my somewhat focused needs Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for music & movies, that's it, so for my needs this one works perfectly. I'm not a gamer, so can't speak for its use there. But the way I always test this stuff is to put on some of my favorite jazz albums and hear how clearly all the subtle notes are picked up - and I was actually a bit surprised how good it was, considering the money I paid. And now I'm happy I didn't spend much more, because I doubt I would be able to tell the difference. So yeah...good stuff.
