Customer Review: Great sound quality and mic; slightly uncomfortable after long hours

Pros: Just about everything with this headset is great. The headphones are awesome and I can say that because I'm an audiophile. From what I've heard when playing online games is that I sound good in the mic. My voice is clear and I come through well. I even tested it through sound recording and it sounds great. Also the ear pads are comfy and don't make your ears sweat or make your head feel hot. Also the mic detaches very easily from the headset so they make good headphones to watch movies or other videos on your computer. The construction in general feels sturdy from the headset itself, to the mic, and finally to the control panel and buttons. I treat the headset carefully because of the price, but I'm not really worried about anything on it breaking.
Cons: Your ears and head will likely get a little achy after wearing these awhile, though compared to some headphones for me it's bearable: I wear thick framed glasses and have a big head so some headphones make my head hurt after a few minutes, these, my noggin gets a little sore after say 3-4 hours and the more I use them the less it bothers me. I also found that setting the headset one notch higher than you need helps too because the pad at the top is firm so it can have them sit higher and the bottom of the headphones to rest more on the bottom part of the ear instead of the top which makes your head less sore. Another note is that in Win 7 ultimate, I couldn't get the Creative software to work, which is probably due to my soundcard software and Win 7 gives me enough control that though I would probably love to tweak some of the settings in the Creative software for the headset, I can do enough in win 7 and my software that the packaged disc really is only good for the initial driver install.
Some people complained about the blinking red LED when the mic is off, though it's not very bright and is more of a reminder that the mic is off than anything (which I have forgotten to turn the mic on a few times). All in all it's a great headset. For gaming you can distinguish when an enemy is sneaking up on you and it really accentuates Doppler's effect. (when the source of the sound gets closer it sounds louder and when it moves past and farther away it gets softer) I highly recommend this headset.
