My first complaint is not so much about the product but rather about the deal i got. I bought this a week and a half ago for $48 and now i see it at $39...Oh well. The second complaint, which is actually my only complaint about the product, is that it was not as loud as i expected. i bought these so that i won't get any further complaints from my neighbours when i do late night gamings at high volume on my logitech 5.1 set. I was expecting not to hear anything besides the game..but i was able to hear someone in the other room calling and disrupting my game time. Nevertheless, this headset is simply awesome and i have no problems to date. I have not unlocked its potential as yet since i am still using on board sound...but all that is about to change...extremegamer Fatal1ty sound card..HERE I COME!!
[one week later...]
I have now managed to use this headset for an extended period, playing Crysis for 9hrs straight and my ears were hurting. I didn't really notice it until i took them off. I am not sure if there are any headsets out there that would not become uncomfortable after 9hrs but this is not it. I had to rub my ears for a little while. i think that was one of the deciding factors to say that 9hrs of game play might be enough for now.

I purchased this gaming headset for my son. All in all, he is happy with the performance and overall quality. As being something of a perfectionist, I was also rather satisfied with the audio quuality. However, I believe they could have put a little more thought into the cabling; the cables are very thin and somewhat apt to get damaged easily. I know that copper prices are up more than a little, but this is something of a "premium" headset. The repair charge from Creative, including shipping costs would be excessive, but I am sure that they want you to just buy a new one.
As someone who has done more than his fair share of electronics repairs, I would have appreciated the ability to simply repair the cable without risking damage to the headset. There is one area of the cable that has gotten a bit abused, and the audio is becomming intermittent if it is moved around. I have no doubt that it is the cable, but I am not going to try and repair/replace the cable until it dies altogether.
All in all, with the exception of the cheesy cabling, the headset has held out pretty well, and he is still using it today (about 9 months later).

Pros;
-Comfortable to wear, and resistant to body perspiration.
-Sound quality is fantastic for this price range. I can hear things clearly, and the speakers have good fidelity.
-Contains noise cancellation technology so that there's absolutely no hysterisis, ironically the $[...] shures, and the $[...] iPhone headphones I have both don't work as well as this headset designed for computers.
-The headset has a very long cord, which is great because I looped it around my computer and eventually hooked it up in the back for even better sound! :)
Cons;
-Extended wear the phones press kinda hard on your ears, and the adjustment on the sides do not alleviate the issue. (-0.5 star)
-Comes with a microphone, and speaker input jack that works on most modern computers. However, there is NO USB CONNECTOR. (-0.5 star)
I have to say overall these headphones are way better than my previous speakers, that I bought for $[...] (shure earbuds), or my apple ones that set me back [...]. This product cost a third as much. Awesome for the casual, and hardcore gamer. :)
Customer Review: Great Sound, OK mic

After my Steelseries 5h v2 broke last week, I started searching for a new headset. The Creative Fatal1ty is definitely the bang-for-the-buck choice. The sound is comparable with the sound of my 5hv2, and I think it handles better the basses. The mic on the other hand, is not as good as the one from my 5hv2, but the voice is still pretty clear over Vent and TS.
On the con side, I think the cable could've been sturdier. They look a little thin and fragile to me, so I guess I need to be careful not to step on it.
Also, it comes with a leather-like bag to store the headset when traveling or whatever, so that's a plus.
Again, if you want good sound for less than 50 bucks, I think this headset is the best choice.
