Customer Review: Great, especially for the price

For any non-gaming laptop, this lapdesk will allow your laptop to sufficiently cool simply by raising it that extra little bit. This assists the cooling fans on the bottom better than many cheaper, flat, fan-based lapdesks/ laptop coolers would.
This looks like it is made for 15" or less screened laptops, as my 14" leaves around an inch of space total between the edges of the computer and the edges of the pad. My only complaint with this pad is that there is not slightly more room across, maybe another inch or so that I can use as a ledge for small items. I'm not talking about adding 4" for a mouse pad, but I have these external speakers that are just over an inch wide, and it would be nice to be able to fit something small like this along the side. Many things could go on this extra little bit of space; mini speakers or lamps are just examples. I know there are jumbo pads out there, but I don't want that. I just would like something just larger than this travel-friendly size and the jumbo pads.
Bottom line, my complaint is a small and unique one. This lapdesk is fantastic and functions perfectly for anyone who is not going to be gaming, or who does not require an attached mousepad, or needs more space than approximately the width of a 15" screened laptop. Get this one over a comparable one in the price range that uses a fan, for sure. If you need a larger one, get a larger one, but one employing similar technology. If you are going to be gaming, then get cooling technology designed for the rigors of gaming.
