I got a blu ray player for my LCD tv. The quality appeared standard to me and I couldn't figure out why at first, until I realized that the cables it came with (red, yellow, and white ... aka RCA cable) will not give me as good of a picture as an HDMI cable would. So I did my research and saw hundreds of comments and articles online saying that a cheap HDMI cable online will give you the same exact image as the expensive ones in a retail store that cost maybe $50 or even more. So I decided to choose this cable. It works great! The picture on my LCD tv is amazing! The image looks so perfect. I even noticed things I wouldn't notice on a standard picture, such as the individual rough lines in the road that would normally just blur together on standard image.
As for the cord itself, it is nice and thick. It feels to me as if it will last me quite a number of years down the road. One of the things I enjoy the most about it is the fact that it works for both 720p and 1080p. As of now I have it hooked up to my 720p tv, but if for any reason I wanted to upgrade I'll be allowed to use this same cable.
Overall, highly recommended. You can't beat this deal.
