Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Corsair TR3X6G1333C9 XMS3 6 GB 3 x 2 GB PC3-10666 1333MHz 240-Pin DDR3 Core i7 Memory Kit

Customer Review: Not compatible with Intel boards
Summary: 3 Stars

FYI, as with the 1 star post, the memory does not seem to be compatible with my Intel motherboard. All the 5 star posts seem to be from people with other brand boards. So if you have an Asus board or any other brand but Intel, get this, it will work great (others say), but if you have an Intel board stay far far away!

Customer Review: Corsair TR3X6G1333C9 6 GB (3x2) Memory Kit
Summary: 2 Stars

I have not had much luck with this memory. I built a new system from the ground up. Started out with two sets of memory (12GB) which worked fine for @ a month then one set failed. I tried dealing with Corsair but due to non-existant customer service I gave up and returned them to Amazon for a refund (no exchange was possible at that time) & purchased a replacement set. These arrived as scheduled yesterday. These were not packaged well and may have been damaged in transit since they would not work. I tried each stick individually in the proper slot for testing and each failed start up. These are also going to be sent back to Amazon and I will wait to add the additional memory.

Customer Review: Great, if you like blue screens!
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased this product in conjunction with the Intel i7 processor and the Intel Extreme DX58SO mother board. I am using Vista Ultimate - 64 bit operating system. I use this computer primarily for CAD work and 3D modeling.

Everything seemed to be working at first but within a day, it started freezing when starting new applications and almost every morning, I would get the Vista message that the computer had recovered from a serious problem, you guessed it, Blue Screen!

I talked to a friend of mine that sells computers for a living and he suggested that memory typically causes this problem. I told him it was Corsair memory and he said he only uses Kingston memory, especially on Vista systems.

After reseating the memory several times and changing the configuration (i.e. 2GB, 4GB & 6GB) I finally ordered Kingston memory (PN: KVR1333D3N9K3/6G) from Amazon. After replacing the memory, I have not had a problem yet. It was also about $50 cheaper! Hopefully, I can get Amazon to give me some credit on this Corsair memory.
Now, I love my new machine, good luck!
