Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Corsair Flash Survivor 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive CMFUSBSRVR-16GBCustomer Review: Almost unusable write speed with lots of files Summary: 3 Stars
The good - durable product with lots of space, 16 gig is great for backing up.
The bad - write speed is a joke with lots of small files. I learned quickly to zip up whatever you want to backup into one large file. Write speed is then very acceptable.
Customer Review: Solid but broke on me Summary: 2 Stars
I was originally happy when i bought this indestructible badboy of a USB drive.... its frame is... but the hardware is not. 14 months later... it has died on me and claimed all my work files with it!!! so mad. the USB head inside is kinda weak and lends itself to bending, which ultimately what killed it.
Customer Review: corsair 16G flash survivor Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased two of these. One works fine; the other does not. It asks to be formated when I plug it into my computer. This happened on the second day of use. Followed the instructions on the website to reformat the drive, when the standard methods failed. No luck, was told by Corsair that I have to send in the drive to be analyzed. They have had the drive for a week now and still no response. I have little experience with this company, but this does not bode well.
Customer Review: Not at all durable Summary: 1 Stars
Within 6 months the end that doesn't screw off came apart. It seems that it is basically just glued on. Also, the rubber grips on both ends came off within just a few weeks.
